We have used KJ Services twice for painting projects - first on a couple interior rooms back in 2012, and again to paint our home exterior in 2022.

Kris' work on the interior rooms was excellent - the coverage was perfect, as was the edging. After 10 years, the rooms still look fantastic.

Based on his past work, we hired Kris again to repaint the entire exterior of our home. He put together a quote in late 2021 and we planned to start work in 2022. Kris kept us updated in the spring as to how their schedule was coming with the weather, and he got started the first week in June. Kris and his team pressure washed the house, patched holes, and replaced damaged trim before starting with primer and paint. They then repainted everything - trim, siding, gutters, doors, and shutters. Start to finish, Kris and his team were here for about 2 1/2 weeks.

The end result is fantastic! Our house looks better than it did brand new. I'm a "detail oriented person"... but I've found nothing that the team missed or did poorly. They were also incredibly tidy - other than a couple ladders tucked away under the trees, there was no sign of ongoing work at the end of each day (other than the progress on the house).

Kris is an excellent contractor to work with on all fronts - his cost, communication, quality, reliability, and tidiness exceed any contractor we've ever worked with in 15 years of home ownership. I plan to work with him again on more interior projects in the future, and will happily recommend him to anyone that appreciates quality work.

My wife and I selected KJ Services to paint the entire interior of our condominium. We had hired Kris Watroba, KJ Services owner, previously for smaller paint and handyman jobs. We were completely satisfied with his work on those jobs. Kris provided a fair quote for the condo painting but what makes Kris stand out from the crowd is the quality of his work. He repaired all imperfections in the wall first. His preparation work is thorough. Once he begins painting, his attention to detail is exceptional. He has a steady hand for cutting in along edges, applies two coats to all surfaces, cleans up every evening before he leaves and strives to complete projects on time. He quickly tended to any requests we had during the project.

Kris is willing and capable to handle other types of jobs as well. We were updating a bathroom on our lower level as part of the painting project. In addition to the painting, Kris installed a new vinyl floor, vanity and toilet for us. Again, his prices were very reasonable and the quality of work excellent. My wife and I highly recommend KJ Services for any painting or handyman projects you have.

I would highly recommend KJ Services. We received a recommendation for exterior paint from a neighbor who also had great things to say about Kris's work. He and his employees are very detail oriented. They thoroughly removed a prior poor caulk job, and I was impressed by how clean their painting work is. I've looked at jobs that my neighbors have had done, and it's amazing how much of a mess many paint contractors leave -- paint on the roof, paint on concrete, etc. Kris is on the job site working every day alongside his employees unlike most big-box painting companies who send a crew of people that don't have high quality standards like an owner. Also, his paint job was far better than competitors. For example, most competitors cover windows and spray the paint because its faster and more cost effective for the contractor. Kris and his crew hand roll two coats of paint, which covers the wood far better than spray.

Kris is very professional and honest. He gave us a thorough review of what repairs and staining needed to be done. At first he did a complete power wash and then went on the repair the damaged wood outdoors. He also stained the wood for our interior windows. He constantly asked for our opinion on the job to make sure he not only met by exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend his services.

Now updating this review. Since the earlier review, KJ Services has done additional interior and exterior painting work--a hallway and the outside of the house. The work is impeccable. His attention to the little things like prep and caulk can't be beat. I did not think that painting could make as much difference as it did. My husband (who is very picky about such things) loved the work.

Earlier review: Wonderful painting and wallpaper removal job, including careful preparation of the walls. Prices were reasonable & good communication. Very attentive to detail and it shows. Would hire him again for sure and will recommend him to friends. Excellent work!
