This is NOT a company I would remotely recommend to anyone contemplating building or remodeling their own home. I cannot comment on the commercial work this company does, nor a summer job experience I had with them. I am referring to the nightmare experience we have had with Alex building our home. There are quality builders out there who will finish the job right and earn the trust and respect to call on them for another project or leave a great recommendation.
In our dragged out and unprofessional building experience with Alex, the owner’s son, this is NOT at all that level of company.

This company lacks any type of emotional intelligence in their ownership, and as soon as they’re actually asked to do what they say they will do, they walk.

I unfortunately hired Alex (Alexander Filkowski who gave his own company a 5 star review) for my large remodel. Not only did he continually do the wrong things, and then blame it on me, he immaturely walked off the job when we voiced our frustration that he wasn’t listening to anything. This led to us paying more for things because change orders needed to be made. They charged for “supervision” yet needed co tractors to come out 4 times to keep fixing what they messed up, or what they would mess up when fixing a different issue, which if we already paid for it once, I don’t understand why we need to pay for supervising a second, third and fourth time as they continue to mess it up. Great for their pocket book, bad for us.

We moved supervisors to Tyler, who literally is saving that company. Not only is he responsive, kind and understanding, we didn’t have the mess ups that Alex brought. We would have left the company if Tyler hadn’t shown up.

I ordered panels to be installed, and from the beginning, Alex messed them up, yet we were told they would be fixed. After two unsuccessful attempts to fix the panels, and emails from Mike, the owner and Alex’s dad, who agreed to pay for new panels and install them correctly,Mike dropped the job and his responsibilities, leaving us with unfinished areas we paid for. He is now refusing to complete what he signed into with contract, as well as written and verbally promised. Zero integrity.

The severe lack of emotional intelligence between Mike and Alex should speak loudly. They can sell, but they can’t show up and complete the work they contracted to do.

One of many with a poor experiences with Alex. At first, met with him and our realtor prior to closing on issues. Received a reply within our realtor’s email how Alex stated he would fix questioned issues. That NEVER happened!
Would not be able to take his word for anything, unfortunately! So disappointed and left with new construction problems!!!
His condos have code violations (where he & city not taking ownership), unhonored warranties, lack of overall supervision and lack of professionalism!
Would not recommend this construction company, the developer, or the city inspector!!!!!!!! All have failed leaving home owners with the poorest of situations!!
