We built our beautiful home with Wittstock Builders in 2017. We met with many other local home builders before deciding on Wittstock. We wanted to build a custom home with a great room with floor-to-ceiling windows, an open floor plan with just two bedrooms and two bathrooms on a specific budget. Some of the other builders wouldn't even work with us-telling us that a two bedroom home build isn't practical or they don't build homes for less than $400K any more. Wittstock was wonderful! They stayed within our budget and built us the exact home we wanted! Their architect completely got us and designed our home to our specifications and even provided a few design options that we hadn't thought of, but that was right in-line with our plan. Wittstock let us do part of the work ourselves (we laid a tile floor in our entry way and did the stone surround on our fireplace and included some of our ideas in their plan (corrugated metal on the outside of our house & on our kitchen island and electric fence posts for our railing spindles). They allowed us to order our own light fixtures, drawer handles, bathroom fixtures to allow us to save some money and choose our own aesthetic. They were a JOY to work with!

First time we met Al, he took us for a ride in his pickup. We rode all around western St. Croix county looking at properties Al had developed, and looking at properties Al knew might be available. It was like he was showing us where he grew up and what his roots were. We knew right away he was someone we could trust to build our new home.

Al and his team at Wittstock Builders gave us just the house we wanted. We're glad we chose Wittstock, and if you're planning to build, we recommend you go with Wittstock Builders.

Wittstock Builders do phenomenal work. They are extremely professional, knowledgeable, and go beyond expectations. They follow up, leave spotless work sites, and are very friendly to work with. The team performs flawlessly with constant communication.

We did not end up using this business, so I cannot speak about the quality of work. Only because we never entered into that phase. Al is a great guy and was very helpful when he showed us his office and the process of building the home. Things started to turn when he gave us a approximate time when we would receive a bid price. We eventually received it after several months past the time given. The price was also astronomical. We then asked for another bid due to the bid was incorrect because of added items to the floor plan. It's been several more months and now nothing back. Unfortunately Al was not very attentive and hardly got back to us. In the end, we are the buyer and want to feel comfortable with the builder of our forever home! We ended up not further using Wittstock for that reason.

Do not use unless you are building a Deck. Al Wittstock will promise you the world but CAN NOT deliver. We built a custom home with Wittstock and it ended up being a nightmare. There were so many construction, scheduling, communication and workmanship issues that I could Write a book. Do your homework, this builder isn't worth the stress.
