Definitely haven’t been updated to reflect the new private rates of $148/155 and up to make it worth it. Stayed in some different rooms for several months (besides the many other times have for shorter periods) and there is so much that’s worn out. Most of the beds have a noticeable dip in them. The amount of work orders I had to put in was ridiculous. Be prepared for random sized refrigerators, so ask to make sure you don’t get one of the small ones if you’re there for a while. I also had to call more than once to make sure they changed the sheets after it had been more than a week. The doors don’t seal well and it can sound like your door is open when people are in the hallways. They had new washers and dryers, but the washers don’t handle detergent pods well and more than once were parts of the pods were stuck to clothes and also had detergent still on the clothes. Never have had this issue before anywhere else, and even reducing load size and placing them in different places among the load regardless of what you’re instructed to use, which didn’t help prevent it from happening. The internet is usually pretty terrible and most of the time I couldn’t FaceTime my wife (and AT&T service is pretty terrible on base, especially at lodging). There was also multiple days where it was just out completely. And more than once I found frogs and insects in the bathroom!

Great experience, up until the point where someone had claimed that we had a dog. We got a call stating that "someone" had heard a dog in our TLF (3br/2bath unit). Even after we said we did NOT have a dog, they requested an inspection of our unit (no value put on military integrity). After the inspection, my family and I thought this issue was solved. However, at check out, the staff behind the counter said, "we'll just have to look into whether you had a dog or not".
The cleaning staff were GREAT!
The office staff lack professionalism, etiquette, and common sense (except for Chris).
I'll be sending an email to their leadership.

The TLF has a 3 BR 2 BA with a full kitchen. Appliances were old but worked. We love the base and surrounding areas. The restaurants close early so be sure to get something to eat before they close.

NOT pet friendly!! It’s incorrect. You can only have dogs at TLF. The TLFs are $200 a night. There are no kitchenettes. It’s $150 a night for a tiny room with a bed and a desk and a bathroom. You can find better prices for better accommodation in Lompoc. I would not stay here again. The best parts about this are the maids and staff who are all lovely.

For any military families looking to come to Vandenberg with pets, be prepared for this hotels very unreasonable pet policy. They only have very few pet friendly rooms, but if they do not have any available during your time in TLF, they will not issue you a non-availability letter to find a pet friendly room off-base. You will be forced to stay in their non-pet friendly rooms on base and have to find a place to board your pets off base somewhere. Average rates to board pets off base can range from 30-40 dollars per dog per night, all non-reimbursable.

First time visitors for the area. Had to pick off nearly 30 ticks off my small dog over two night stay. Definitely wasn’t told about the risk prior to staying and had a thick amount of spider webs on inside of our rooms and bugs. Was told that maintenance and housekeeping is done daily. Preventative measures could’ve been done better by the grounds team and housekeeping. Front desk clerk for the night shift is the only saving grace for our stay. Definitely not coming back again and would not recommend the pet units until it’s fixed.

Note: was told there has been complaints before but wasn’t told till we are about to check out in the morning.

Terrible service, bad internet, had to move rooms multiple times. If there was a 0 stars it would be that. If you can stay off base do that

The place of checking in is just that. The rooms are pretty spread out. My room was dated in every way and very small. It was $140 but worth more like $80.
