Overall, I think the strengths of UBuildIt Brookfield are very knowledgeable contractors, transparency with costs, and the flexibility to choose to do work on your own. I don’t think we could have built our house for the price with any other builder and none of the other builders wanted to give us the flexibility of designing the house which was necessary for our lot. In the end, we have a house that is completely our design and it fits our lot perfectly.

I wanted to wait to write a review until we had been in the house for a year because I think every builder is going to make mistakes and it’s important to know whether they will be there afterwards to help fix issues that come up. We did have some issues that came up during the build and they worked with us to resolve those. Happily, we did not have very many issues within the first year but those that arose we were able to resolve directly with the subcontractors. Most all of the subcontractors we used I would use again but one downside is that they tend to work with only a few subcontractors so when you send things out for bid sometimes you’re only getting one bid back which makes it difficult to know if you’re getting good pricing. Given they don’t build as many houses as some of the other builders, however, this seems normal. This can also pose an issue when you are trying to keep on schedule. For example, we had a subcontractor lined up to do the elevated screened in porch for us but they ghosted us and Ubuildit. To keep us on schedule, we ended up building the deck and screening it ourselves. The guys were spread quite thin when we were building but I have to say that Frank did an amazing job of keeping things moving forward.

Joe is clearly passionate about his business model and he is extremely knowledgeable. It was difficult at times to get him to think outside of what they normally do but with continued requests he helped us figure out how to do some less typical things that really make the house special. Joe, I love my wall of windows and the transom between the kitchen cabinets and counter 😊

Their architect help us draw up plans based on the floorplans we designed. That got us most of the way but because we were looking for some key architectural features, we met with another architect to help us tweak our plans. After we brought those suggestions back to Joe and the group, they helped us figure out what we could reasonably incorporate.

Building is definitely stressful, and building during pandemic induced supply chain issues is not for the faint of heart. Despite all of those challenges however, we now get to enjoy a house that we designed and built (literally because we chose to do a lot of the work ourselves) thanks to Joe, Frank, Matt and the rest of the crew at Ubuildit Brookfield. Thank you!

After a year of seeing every house on the market, then meeting with traditional builders in the area, we knew we needed a true partner to help us build our home. From start the finish Ubuildit was exactly that, an incredibly proficient building consulting partner that helped in everything from design aesthetics to construct-ability. Not to mention their pitch about instant equity is very real. This branch is very involved, and their attention to details is quite impressive. We felt like we were their sole client throughout the entire process, and commend the entire team for their dedication throughout. Would recommend them to anyone looking to design and build.

The building process with UBuild It was great. I was hesitant to build in 2022 from hearing all the issues with new construction at this time. Our expeditor Frank was able to keep a tight schedule and get the materials and subcontractors when we needed them. The design process was easy and exactly as advertised. My wife and I built with U Build It. I was hesitant about the process and to be honest not particularly looking forward to it. We met with Joe and Jamie and from start to finish they made the process a lot of fun. We absolutely love our house. We have been in our house almost 5 years no with no issues with the quality or workmanship. We probably wont build again but if we do we will use them.
