I came across NorCal Remodeling Group through Bath Planet advertisement on FB. After receiving 2 other consultations and quotes, I decided to move forward with NorCal Remodeling for the following reasons:

- COMMUNICATION: Initial schedule and consultation communication via web form, phone call, email, and text were clear and punctual. Each representative hand off the project to the corresponding person with ease and everyone is kept in the loop during hand offs.

- PRICE: Initial quote was slightly higher than others, however, with their promotions, it was reduced to competitive price. Full shower/tub and vanity remodel was $15K (purchased the vanity, mirror, and lights separately). Plus, the lifetime guarantee also gave me a peace of mind.

- CONVENIENCE: I appreciated the concept that one business, NorCal Remodeling Group, would handles all the supplies purchase (through Bath Planet), delivery, and installation. While other companies I consulted with required either I source all the materials, or only managed the shower/tub but not the vanity section.

- SERVICE:
Design Consultant/Jason B: My first meeting was with Jason B, who was a Design Consultant/Sales. He was friendly, informative, and paid attention to details. For example, he measured the wet area and verified with Project Manager to confirm that a deep soaker tub would fit in the area no problem. He also advised to purchase a specific style and dimension of the vanity to ensure that less piping adjustments is needed to avoid additional costs. I set my decision timeline/expectation at the front end so he was aware of my commitment level. One sales person to another, I know not to waste anyone's time.

Construction Coordinator/Miles P: Through email and text exchange, Miles kept me posted with Bath Planet order progress and estimated delivery/installation time line. He also double checked that I will have my vanity supplies ready to go before handing me off to the Scheduling Concierge and Construction Coordinator.

Scheduling Concierge/Construction Coordinator/Denise B: Through email, calls, and text exchange, Denise was proactive in scheduling installation dates by coordinating with my schedule and the installer's availability. She kept me informed through the schedule and reschedule process.

Project Manager/Maximillion S: Max was my key contact whom I worked face to face on multiple occasions. He visited on site to ensure that the preliminary project is on par with what was discussed and ordered. He further advised me on my vanity and light purchase to ensure that I'm not going to incur additional labor fees that were outside of the initial contract (ie. moving the electricals and plumbing). He visited on site each day of installation to ensure project is going as planned, and collected payments.

Installers: There were a group of 4 installers on Day #1, and 3 installers on Day #2 to finish the job. They were respectful of our home and you can tell they enjoy their work. There was a slight language barrier but we managed.

It's been 4 days since NorCal Remodeling Group transformed our guest bathroom. I no longer need to use my original 13" tub, and now enjoy full submersion in the deep 19" soaker tub. The materials are beautiful and I'm 100% happy with this remodel!

I had a really frustrating experience with True North Kitchen and Bath. Their sales reps were super pushy right from the start, trying to get us to sign without even really listening to what we wanted. They kept throwing around this “lifetime warranty” line, which sounded good at first, but when you really look at it, it felt like just a sales tactic to cover up how cheap their materials were.

They said the shower materials were acrylic, but when we took a closer look, it was just cheap plastic with a print on it. Definitely not what they made it seem like, and definitely not worth the price.

The sales reps didn’t know anything about construction, either. They were just reading off a script and kept trying to convince my wife to sign right then and there with “special offers” that seemed to disappear as soon as we questioned them. The whole thing felt like they were trying to rush us into something before we had time to think about it.

When we asked questions about the installation process or what we were actually getting, they couldn’t give us clear answers. It was obvious they didn’t care much about the details or doing things the right way.

In the end, we walked away. If you want honest service, quality materials, and a team that knows what they’re doing, definitely look elsewhere.

Our bathroom remodeling was a seamless and pain free process. The results were amazing and we love it. Max, our project manager, is always on top of things and keeps us posted on updates and changes. Luis and his crew were meticulous and took huge pride in their work. Most importantly, they also took great care of all our personal belongings, minimizing dust generation and putting up barriers whenever possible. Thank you so much guys for your hard work!

We LOVE our new shower! We were pleased from the start working with all of the team at NorCal Remodeling Group for our guest bathroom shower remodel in our 30 year old home. The process started with an in-home visit from Don Johnston to discuss options with a follow-up visit from the Project Manager, Jeff, who guided and communicated with us every step of the way. We even had a call with the owner thanking us for doing business with them. The demo/installation team of Thomas and Victor were such hard workers; very professional and easy to deal with completing the installation in less time than planned. David installed a light over the new shower, and was very helpful with the electrical process. Kouros from Ace Glass did a beautiful job with the clear glass shower doors.

We are so pleased with our selection of a Subway Tile look in the Brecchia color with the look of white grout, which Jeff told us was a newer option. The corner caddy is perfect for shampoos and body wash bottles and even has a little area at the bottom for putting up a leg for shaving! This product will be so easy to clean because of the material made with a lifetime guarantee from Bath Planet. Thank you to the NorCal Remodeling Group for your professionalism, communication, and for helping us to have a new, beautiful guest bathroom shower!

I had a great experience working with the NorCal Remodeling Group. I found them through Home Depot. Taylor Hyde (the designer consultant) came out to the Foster City townhouse to give us the sales pitch and show us the Bath Planet product samples and luxury vinyl flooring they use in their bathroom remodeling projects. We liked her presentation and signed on to have them remodel two very outdated bathrooms that had never been remodeled (over 50 years old). This company was very organized: Designer, Product Order Scheduler, Project Manager, Installers, Plumbers, General Contractor. Max Soy was the Project Manager and kept in constant communication with us and showed up every day to check out the progress of the remodel. He was proactive about spotting small problems before they became big problems and responded to any issues we had quickly and efficiently. The installers (Angel and his brother) were skilled, polite, and cleaned up every day after the work. I was amazed at how strong and fast they worked. The bathrooms look beautiful and I am very happy with the outcome. NorCal Remodeling did what they said they would, showed up when they said they would, handled all building permits seamlessly, and did quality work. I highly recommend this company for your bathroom remodel.

Highly recommend. Our bathroom had some odd features from the previous owner and we had some plumbing issues. We replaced the shower and the entire team was great to work with - the salesperson was knowledgeable and quick to respond, the project manager was in frequent contact, and our construction person Louis did a great job. If I needed a bathroom remodel again I would go through them again. The whole thing was quick and easy, and the end product looks super modern and classy.

Got my shower replaced and the final product looks good but the process to get there was very difficult. There were some issues with the pipes leaking the day after installation, which happens understandably, and they resolved the issue eventually but had a bad experience with the contractor who was at times rude and even made me lose an entire day waiting for him (was supposed to come in the morning to wrap up some stuff but ended up showing up at 4pm). Will probably not go with them for my second bathroom

We're very happy with all of the work and awesome look of the tub area. Jeff was excellent through the process. We signed the contract before the start of the pandemic and by the time they were ready to schedule, we were locked down. Once construction workers were allowed to come back online, Jeff contacted us to schedule the work. He answered our many questions about safety, sanitizing, PPE, and the process for completing the work. He was very flexible, and there was no pressure to set the start date. Once set, we were the first job for the returning workers, Gabor and Jani. They are both very hard workers, easy to work with, and helpful in answering our questions through the remodeling job. some extra work was required, installing dielectric couplers between the older galvanized pipe to the new copper pipe. Jeff helped reduce the cost as much as he could. The picture attached doesn't do it justice, especially compared to the original tub area. My wife is very happy, and we know what that means! We highly recommend the NorCal Engineering Group and Bath Planet for the quality of materials, workmanship, and the excellent process.
