We would never recommend Trinity Custom Homes to anyone. The bad experience started at the front door with Austin the salesperson as we later found out that there were numerous lies that were knowingly told by him. He completely lied about the products that we were told we were paying for. My spouse and I were talking to each other about whether or not to have a window put in our master bath due to privacy issues. When Austin heard this he turned around and told us that the bathroom windows were frosted so that would take care of any privacy issues. When we asked him again about the window being made with frosted glass his reply was “Oh yes they are frosted”. As we found out (too late) Trinity does not even offer frosted glass windows. Later in the same meeting my spouse and I was discussing getting window seats for the three dormers that go with our floor plans, again Austin tells us that Trinity will make 30” window seats but the customer has to supply the seat cushions. We found out that Trinity does not make window seats after we saw that they had built 35” kitchen cabinets in our upstairs hallway and bedrooms. Things got even worse when they put in the foundation which was so shoddy that we are concerned about it holding up a two story house for even a few years. When we confronted Ken the “project manager” about it all he said was that “Its not pretty but its up to code and that’s what all Trinity homes looks like”. Everything that Trinity has done toward building our home is horrible. From the crew putting in the cabinets and sinks (not using the right tools for the job) to the painters and sheetrock work that was done and the toilets that was put in crooked. One worker even consistently brought a young child around 3 or 4 years of age to the construction site to babysit while he worked 6 to 8 hour shifts. One day I looked out and saw that this young child had climbed up the ladder to the roof of our two story home by himself then climbed back down by himself because he was not being supervised. We should have been told that a young child would be brought onto our property so that we could decide if we wanted to risk a law suit if there was an accident or death. We were not given that option. But I would like to thank Ken the “project manager” though for clarifying how Trinity views their customers. When we talked to him at our first walk through, we asked him why all the work on our home was so shoddy and obviously done by unskilled and incompetent workers. We were told that our home was the difference between a Chevrolet and a Cadillac. Because our home was not in the 700.000 to a million dollar range that we were at the “3rd level construction” and that all Trinity homes at this level was done this way. We know other people who have had homes built at our comparable price with other companies and they were not given “3rd level construction”, so obviously this is how Trinity chooses to treat their customers.

My husband and I were so excited to finally be able to build our dream home. We selected a plan and all the details to make our house a home. We loved working with Crystal. She was attentive and always friendly. However, we tried 3 different banking options that Trinity suggested and they ALL fell through. One wouldn't sign the contract (sketchy) and the other prominent choice strung me along for MONTHS only to get told we would have a $38,000 down payment which was not possible for us. At this point our contract with Trinity was terminated with the intention from Trinity that we would redo our contract- with a 5% overall price increase! I feel like I wasted 4 months trying to get approved, when Trinity just sat there being unhelpful all while getting my hopes up. Very disappointed.

The first question we asked Jennifer Mckinnon was "Does Trinity Homes build in Flintville Tennessee?" Jennifer told us yes. Me and my fiance went to 2 meetings with her at the cullman office. Went over design plans. Created our own floor plans. She told us that we would be hearing from Ken. He would come out and look at our land. So we moved a house trailer off of the property, prepped the land, and started setting up utilities. We had our credit ran through our bank and got approved. After 4 weeks of waiting and not being able to get in touch with Jennifer we finally talk to a man named Charles only to find out they do not build in Flintville Tennessee. Jennifer McKinnon is VERY unprofessional as does not know her job. Thank you Charles for letting us know that you guys couldn't build our home. If Jennifer would have known her job we would have saved months of time, effort, and money.

We was promised things to be done on our home, and they never followed through. They lied to my wife and i about almost everything. When we would ask them about the issues they would charge us to have things repaired additionally and not do the repairs in a
timely manner. Their communication skills and professionalism was nonexistent. We spoke with their general manager and he was not for the customer either didnt want to listen and work things out in a mature way. Trinity never owned up to their mistakes. They ended up over charging and the work was poorly done ( besided the framers on the house) they actually done a good job. Lastly the sales manager that sold our plans had forged our dates on some paperwork we had signed so that he could try to over price what he quoted us without our permission or ever notifying us. I spoke to the G.M. ( jim in elijay ga) about that and he spoke over me and asked if i wanted the procedure to go to arbitration and threatened us about it costing more if that happened. I know alot of people with my work and We will not be referring them to anyone after this experience!

These guys are very knowledgable. They will work with you to find out what is possible and help get you steered in the right direction.
If you are already to go or just starting to plan, give them a call. I spoke with adam and he went out of his way to make sure I understood what needed to happen for the next steps.

They have so many models to choose from and can listen to your needs and help you design the home you are trying to create but have a hard time articulating.
