It really upsets me to have to write this review. We used TJC Roofing for two occasions... repairing our roof and replacing our chimney cap. We were referred to TJC by multiple people and were honestly thrilled with the service and quality of the materials used for the roof and chimney cap. We paid a decent amount of money to make sure it was done right, and TJC did just that. Now for the unfortunate part. We wanted to use TJC to refurbish our sunroom because we loved the quality of service. We contacted TJC and they responded quickly and sent someone out to evaluate. They gave us a generalized quote and mentioned they would be sending us the detailed quote via e-mail soon. We didn't hear anything back, so I contacted Carl via e-mail, phone, and text. He mentioned they were busy because it was that time of the season, which I understand, so I didn't think much of it since he mentioned they were aiming for September for our project and were still working on our quote. Yet again we hear nothing. Even with promises of getting back to us on multiple occasions, us leaving voicemails, texts, and emails, it is now the end of August, and we've heard nothing. I am absolutely disappointed because this was the third of MANY projects we wanted to lay out for the next few years.
Regarding the timeline, we asked about the sunroom in March 2024. We were told by Carl over text that the project was something they could handle, and they were going to coordinate a date / time for the inspection.
Sent an e-mail on May 7 asking if they were able to do the sunroom project. Received a text response on May 10th and set up the inspection for Wed the 15th at 10am.
Inspection happens, great interactions, lot of discussion and details provided about how they could refurbish the sunroom. Left a great feeling... but then I hear nothing.
I send a text on May 31, no response. Send another one on June 3 and get a response from Carl stating they were busy professionally, and there were other external factors that were prolonging the process. No problem, but then again, nothing.
Sent another text on June 15th, received a response from Carl saying he had the price on his desk and gave us the general estimate again... but no e-mail with the detailed breakdown. He said he would fully confirm it on Monday, June 17, 2024. There was more conversation about how they were going to be able to reuse some of the materials to help with the cost. Again, awesome, very excited to have our sunroom done.
July 1, I send another text... NOTHING.
Here we are, August 26, NOTHING.
I can say the workmanship of TJC was great, but now, no communication, just simply dropped us as customers. I don't understand why or how as this project was going to cost more than $10-14K. I don't write this review lightly, but I have the emails and text that I have referred to because I want everyone to know we were patient.
Good luck to everyone who tries to use TJC roofing. If you can get a hold of them to lock on your project, I'm sure they'll do a good job. I guess people who were recurring customers who paid over 9k in previous projects don't rate to use them again.
