Buyer beware. Do not! I repeat, DO NOT go into contract with Tim Lewis. Especially people of color. They will not give you any refunds, even though they are at fault for terrible service. They protect their own and are about themselves and not the customer/consumer. I tried to make a complaint with their corporate office for months, after the Elk Grove team - Kevin Merza & Kevin Tran became condescending, gave me the runaround and continue to not take accountability for the wrongdoing of their actions. Corporate doesn't return any phone calls, nor do they care about anything except getting your money. Do not use their preferred lenders, do not trust anything they say, as it is just lipservice to get you to go into contract with them. The homes are poorly made, the team is young and inexperienced with customer relations and do not have good communication skills. I talked to other future residents who told me specifically that David Tran can't answer basic questions when they call about the status of their home. So ingenious and fake. They will completely gaslight you to attempt to make you feel crazy. Don't do it. I recommend everyone leave an honest complaint to help protect all future consumers who are considering Tim Lewis.

I've called multiple times and left several voicemails, but I have yet to receive a call back. It's been very frustrating trying to get in touch with someone. If you're looking for reliable communication, I can't recommend this service based on my experience. I hope they improve their responsiveness in the future.

We have recently purchased a new house from Tim Lewis. When purchased, we were promised everything that the new home buyer could wish for and then some. However, the reality has been far from it. After signing the contract, everything has been very challenging. Long story short, there was a seven-month delay in delivery, which was difficult. Especially when you were leasing a house, and the delivery date got pushed back more than five times. But the real problem started after we moved in. They were so many faulty installations that needed to be replaced, including the upgraded floors and leaky roof! Almost any upgrade that we requested was forgotten, and nearly three months later, we are still following upon them with no specific installation dates. Tom, the customer service agent, which is our contact point, is very unresponsive. After we filled out the survey given to us, Brian, the Customer care manager, contacted me and assured me that this is not how the company treats the customers, and he would personally follow up. Only that more than a month after that phone call, NOTHING has happened. There have been some severe problems, including roof structure. They advised us that our side yard fence was installed incorrectly and needs to relocate but refusing to provide any paperwork. It has been very hard on us so far, and I have refused to leave any reviews until now. But I believe three months was a fair amount of time to let the clients know the time frames when these repairs can be done. So I felt the need to leave a comment here about our experience with this construction company in the hope that it helps someone else before signing a contract with this company!

I have left negative reviews before that have disappeared, but I will keep posting them as long as I have to. Anyone who says this is a quality builder, is a liar or has been paid for their review. We have had nothing but problems for over 2 years in our home, with minimal progress towards making repairs, several of which have been issues since before we closed escrow. At this point, we have spent thousands fixing the poor workmanship of TIM LEWIS. We expect to spend thousands more before this house doesn’t look like a toddler made it out of modeling clay and caulking. Our first customer service rep said it best, “if they don’t like your complaints, they shouldn’t have built you a s####y house.” Buyer beware!!!

An excellent realtor Matt found Tim Lewis communities for us after probing our requirements. Tim Lewis designed on to our needs and the experience we have had moving into one of his communities have been the best ever for us. The quality of our home is great. The options chosen on the manufacturer spec was spot on what we wanted and we have nothing but praise for the great work that Tim Lewis and team has put forth in rather challenging times. In conclusion, we are super happy with our new home from Tim Lewis!
