Tom and his team are amazing! We loved our house but hated our yard. They came up with 3 amazing our door living spaces for us. We now spend our summers and falls around the gas firepit and outdoor living room the created. That wraps nicely to our downstairs walkout basement. There was never away to get to the walkout before because it was too steep. They added stairs and rocks to make it not only usable but beautiful! Our neighbors have told us how much they love looking at the landscaping. The Ground Crafters also completely redid the front of our house to make it more welcoming. The team was very good at communicating and helping us pick out just the right things for our space!

Tom designed, executed and installed a major hardscape and gardening project for us last summer that completely transformed our outdoor living space. We are thrilled with how it all came together. We now have multiple areas for relaxation, recreational activities and outdoor dining. Tom's gifted team was great to work with as well. We couldn't be happier. See photos of the project.

In 2015, after rebuilding our garage, we had a fairly large (in 'Tosa standards) back yard that was just short of mundane. As the yard sloped to the home, heavy rains were an issue as water didn't channel from our home. We had an old, dilapidated patio and flag stone stepping stones that I had gathered from around the yard led to the patio and garage from our porch. Long story short, we contacted Tom Auer to help us do something with the yard. He created a "dry river" of river stone, from the back yard draining runoff to the front of the lot, created a brick walkway around the porch to a beautiful new patio, complete with a large multi-stone water feature. Large flagstone led to our garage and a path to our fence. Landscaped with multiple shrubs, hosta and bush, he created a paradise in or back yard. Words cannot describe the results. His crew was amazing, prompt on the job and attention to detail on the brickwork was over-the-top. 10 years later it still looks wonderful, but is in need of refreshing. We can't wait to get The Ground Crafter back and make things sparkle again.

Tom and the Ground Crafter Team designed and replaced our concrete slab patio with a beautifully designed patio, walkway and landscape! Tom took our input and came up with a beautiful design within our budget.
He offered additional options if we wanted. They started and finished the job in the time promised. They were careful not to damage adjacent plantings.
His crew is professional, hardworking with great craftsmanship. We love entertaining and relaxing on our new outdoor living space!

I have done two substantial projects with The Ground Crafter. In both cases I found the designs compelling and the quality of work far better that most contractors. Tom is easy to work with and honorable. I would highly recommend The Ground Crafter for any outdoor yard or lawn projects that needs creativity and "coolness". Particularly in the area of natural wood pergola's!
