Our wedding at The Estate at Yountville was nothing short of perfection! From the moment we started planning, Lilly and her incredible team went above and beyond to make our day truly seamless and stress-free. Their attention to detail, exceptional communication, and flawless execution ensured that everything came together beautifully.

Not only is the venue absolutely stunning, but it was also the perfect location for our out-of-town guests to experience the charm of Napa Valley. The ambiance, the service, and the overall experience exceeded all our expectations. We couldn’t have asked for a more magical setting to celebrate our love.

If you’re looking for an elegant, picturesque, and expertly managed wedding venue, The Estate at Yountville is the place. Huge thanks to Lilly and her team for making our November wedding a dream come true!

The hotel was an absolute delight! The receptionists and valet staff were incredibly friendly, and the welcome champagne was a lovely touch. The bathroom, adorned with Diptyque products, was so stunning that I wanted to take the decor home with me. The bedding was excellent, and we ended the night happily watching Netflix. Breakfast was delicious, and I only wish we had more time to enjoy this wonderful hotel. 🙂

Bar and housekeeping service was attentive. Valet was professional and helpful. Hot tub was out of order for 2 days of our stay and no one seemed in any hurry to repair it. One of our rooms had a non functional heater.

A lot of things about this hotel are near perfect! We particularly enjoy the free bikes offered by the hotel to guests.

The biggest problem is with the service — lack of responsiveness. We asked for an extra comforter at around 10pm. Took 2 calls and an hour total to finally get 3 sheets.

The next morning we found the hair dryer not working (it doesn’t blow hot air) and asked for a replacement as well as new bath towels. Again we had to make 2 calls, 30 minutes apart, but still couldn’t get them until we had to leave for an appointment in Calistoga (yes with half dry hair on a chilly morning of ~55F). We left a note at the door asking hotel staff to place the hair dryer/towels inside when you are out. Upon returning, the items were still not delivered. We called the front desk again and asked to speak to the manager oncall. The staff member apologized and promised that guest service department would have the item delivered within 5 minutes. As you may all have guessed, 45 minutes have passed as of this writing and nobody has shown up.

This is a $800/night 5-star hotel.

I've visited Napa and Yountville on several occasions having lived close to there and having friends in the wine and hospitality industry. This was my first time staying at The Estate Yountville and I am shocked at the lack of care this place takes.

To start, on my first evening there after a 12 hour travel day I chose to sit at the bar and have a drink - I was ignored by 2 girls. No water was offered, no menu, nothing. It wasn't until someone who seemed to be a manager came by to check in that I was served.

I had a $100 emergency bill tucked away in a pouch that was zipped closed inside of another bag and upon checking out that was gone. Room service rifled thru my belongings and effectively thought that that belonged to them upon finding it.

After checking out and realizing this I let the hotel know and they were supremely dismissive and stated they "stood by their staff".

Yes, there are safes in the room - but a single bill should not have to be placed in there and Room Service should not be running their fingers thru belongings that are closed.

I would not recommend anyone to stay here - The Bardessono down the road provides a high end/upscale stunning experience that anyone paying luxury prices deserves.

Solid hotel in the Yountville area, great location to walk around talk to get to restaurants, markets, cafes and tasting lounges. Rooms are solid, breakfast was included in our room rate (buffet style in the lobby until 10am), free car service to drop off and pickup guests in a 6 mile radius. Free water in your room, hotel gave us a free bottle wine and snacks. Valet and self parking available.

I love this hotel, we stayed there for 2 nights with our dog. They not only let you stay with the dog, but also put a dog bed and toys in your room! The service was great in all senses.

We recently planned a trip to Napa Valley to celebrate my birthday and enjoy some of the region’s renowned wine. Our journey began in San Francisco and continued with a delightful stay at the Archer Hotel in downtown Napa, which I highly recommend for its exceptional service and attention to detail. However, our experience at the Estate Yountville in Yountville left much to be desired.

Upon check-in at the Estate Yountville, we were neither offered the welcome champagne (which is a typical greeting at luxury resorts) nor was there any acknowledgment of the special occasion we had shared with the staff prior to our arrival. When we politely mentioned both omissions, the staff simply said, “Oh, yes, we can pour you some bubbles,” and later left a bottle of wine in our room. However, there was no personal note or any gesture that might convey the resort’s acknowledgment of the celebration. At first, I assumed this was an oversight, but as we spent more time in the lobby and public spaces, it became clear that the level of service varied dramatically based on the guests’ perceived wealth and race.

While we sat in the lobby, I noticed that white guests or those who appeared affluent were treated with far more attentiveness. They were immediately offered champagne, and the hospitality they received was notably more polished and gracious. The disparities in service, though subtle, were hard to ignore. Unfortunately, if you are a person of color, your experience at this resort may not reflect the same warmth or hospitality extended to other guests.

As a travel agent who spends over $100,000 annually on travel, I was genuinely looking forward to a memorable experience at the Estate Yountville. Sadly, I left feeling disappointed, as my stay was marred by what I perceived to be subtle, yet unmistakable, racial bias in service. While the property itself is beautiful, the hospitality was not reflective of the standards one would expect from a resort of this caliber.

In summary, if you are a person of color, I would recommend considering alternative accommodations. However, if you’re white and arrive in luxury vehicles, you can likely expect a different, more favorable experience.
