Sweet Crete Construction (Omar) did an amazing colored concrete patio for us!! He impressed us right from the minute we met him. He was very warm, polite and confident. He really listened to what we wanted and drew up a perfect design and contract. We felt very comfortable with him. He worked very hard to complete the project on time and at a very reasonable price. Omar and his crew also left our yard completely clean and in order. We are extremely happy with our new patio and would highly recommend him.
Awesome job Omar!!

Updated review

Did a very bad job with cracks developing immediately after the concrete dried. Contractor lied that he will come and fix and after multiple follow ups did not do anything.
After I put a 2 star review of his work, he send me a notice threatening to sue to remove the review. I didn't remove the review and he sued me in small claims court. I sued him back. The honorable judge dismissed his case saying his contract was illegal asking a customer to not post anything about his work. The court also ordered him to pay my court expenses which he hasn't yet.
I am updating my review to warn everyone on how this company treats its unhappy customers. Instead of working with them and fixing their problem they are going around suing them!!

He tried to sue me today for breach of contract for giving him a bad review. Judge rules that his contract can't supercede my first amendment right of freedom of speech. Google should have a rating: Shouldnt be in business or Can't be trusted star. I would have gone lower, a negative 20 star. Beware of his contracts tactics of charges in phases with you paying the majority of the monies upfront and then leaves you holding the bag. BEWARE!!! He tries to scare people into not leaving any negative reviews with the threat of a law suit for breach of contract. This business is terrible. Any Contractor that puts in his contract a confidentiality agreement has something to hide. Sweet Crete been in business for 7yrs on has a had 3 positive reviews before I left mine.

After explaining clearly what I wanted in detail several times. The contractor seemed to be knowledgeable of my desires. After forms were put in place. I reconfirmed exactly what I wanted and the contractor still seemed to be knowledgeable of my desires. Even after questioning which in my eyesight (I am not a professional in concrete) did not seemed to be correct but, the contractor guaranteed it was.
We had a heavy rain and I felt things may have shifted before the pour. So I called the contractor again to reconfirm all was good. Upon pour I was not home but I had someone there to give refreshments and bathroom usage. When I returned the outcome appeared to be beautiful even though it was not what I asked for(desired). I did express that again with the contractor. I paid him in full and moved forward.
Within a few weeks I noticed a crack in my concrete from one side to the other. Also the leveling was uneven as well as two cracks next to the sidewalk. I called him and brought this to his attention and also asked him to come by for us to discuss this a what can be done about it. I texted him as well. Where he had came by. When, I don't know and he replied with a text stating that it was a hairline fracture and how concrete is inevitable to crack. To me and others, this is not a hairline fracture nor should it had ran as far as it did. The contractor said that he would fix it but he needed to leave me a Change Order for me to sign. I agreed to it however, it had taken the contractor two weeks to finally drop it off. When I called and texted again on when he would be repairing the concrete he kept referring to the Change Order which again he was two weeks giving it to me. However, I have it, I have signed it and was waiting for a date for services to be completed.
The contractor became very argumentative, abusive and belligerent. Totally disrespectful.
Even though my attorney had no problem moving forward with this. I decided even though it would cost me more that I have no desire for anyone like that to be in the presence of my home or myself. It is just unexceptable. Business all around should always be professional. Not sure if the contractor had a negative issue with dealing with a woman or not. So quality was not at its best. I would not recommend his services to anyone at this point. Your word is your bond. He had no problem receiving his payment from me in full. Why should I have a problem with him repairing his work.

This individual is not only unprofessional & unscrupulous he lacks basic business integrity. Lesson learned: 1) be cautious of being asked for large sums of pymt upfront for minimal work performed 2) don't accept a contract with undefined timelines...you'll be left out of pocket AND flapping in the wind, waiting for completion, which we didnt get. 3) You, as the customer, can and should question unseemly contract clauses.
If it doesn't feel right...its probably not. In this case, BUYER BEWARE.
