Choosing Steel Structures of America for our pole barn was and is probably the best call we’ve made since moving out here. Doug, Billy, Jessica and everyone else I’ve had the pleasure of working with over there made this entire process super easy and I never had to worry about being taken care of.

Weather was the only concern I had, thankfully we had a pretty tame winter here in Colorado! 😉👌

10ish years ago my In-Law’s had a SSA building put up, a 36x36 barn and it’s helped up marvelously. This was a major reason why we chose to go with them again on our property. Our 36x48 looks GREAT! Everyone that’s seen the barn is always impressed with the build quality and the speed in which it was built. Hell, even some of our inspectors commented saying the the cleanest build they had to check out in this area in a LONG time.

Cheers to the teams that killed each phase of the build and another raised glass to Doug and the SSA Crew. You know I’ll be calling again when we’re ready for the next build. 🍻

He was there during the entire process helping with every phase of the project. The crews were very professional, skilled and cleaned the job site before leaving in every case. Great experience with Steel Structures America. They built our 40'x30' pole barn in a total of 6 days with just Austin and Jose at our Cabin in the Colorado mountains. They were professional, dedicated, responsible, efficient, friendly and the whole process was seamless. My experience with Steel Structures America was great! Doug showed up with a laptop design program and after some discussion and tweeking I was looking at my new shop and the cost. Any size, color, etc changes are done on the spot. Doug is knowledgable, professional, and he was the type of person I wanted to do business with.
Their nationwide competitor showed up with a legal pad and a pencil. I took note that the only thing this guy wrote down was the size of the shop I wanted. He said he would get back to me with a bid and I never heard from him again. Their other well known competitor never showed up.....that's all I needed to know about them!
Billy and the entire staff at SSA were terrific to deal with. These projects take time with a lot of communication back and forth. Billy was at my disposal for any questions or concerns that I had. Billy is also very dedicated and professional and I would hire them again without a doubt.
I also have to mention the crew that actually built the building. They were FANTASTIC! They were very respectful of my property and surroundings and always left a clean job site. The inspectors were very impressed with the design and build, not one single issue.
Steel Structures America is the real deal. They try harder because they care and it shows in all facets of the build..I love my new building!

We started looking for a pole barn builder a couple years ago. Talked to several companies, a couple big names and some smaller ones. Doug, with Steel Structures America, was the only one that came through and was a big reason we went with this company. We worked with Doug for several months nailing down what we wanted. He came to the house several times, always on time and prepared. Kevin and crew worked very hard, answered any questions we had and were very respectful. Quality people. After the build was done there were a few things that needed tweaking. Billy was receptive to making sure we were satisfied. During the process we met many employees of the company and were impressed by all. A very good, solid company.

We are so thrilled with our shop - the craftsmanship and products used were exactly what we'd hoped for. Getting there was more difficult, but not really in a negative way; meaning, the company SSA uses for financing was great to work with, super responsive, and we had no issues receiving financing, once everything was approved - which took far longer than we were hoping for. The permitting process in my county took literal months - there were zoning issues and design issues which caused the permit to be sent back, several times - we spent the entire summer trying to get this permit though; Jessica finally had to physically go to the permitting office to get answers (that's the kind of service I appreciate and LOVE). After about 12 weeks the permit was approved and issued. It took from end of August to beginning of November to get a crew on site, and we were pushing it to get concrete poured with temps dropping. The shop took about a week total time (which was the estimated build time) and as previously stated, we are so happy with it. From start to finish, it was about 6mo to get the shop built so, if you have a time frame, PLEASE be mindful and get all your information in, financing set, etc. at the beginning of the summer at the very latest. Again, NOT SSA's fault for the permitting, but the crew assignment did take far longer than I'd hoped for, but everything worked out! Would use SSA again and would and have suggested to others.

If you are looking for someone to build a pole barn or garage, this is the place to go. Excellent quality and excellent workmanship. We are very pleased with the garage they just built for us. Would highly recommend.
