I am a General Contractor in Marin County and have worked with Sean and his team on multiple projects. When I was first introduced to Sean I was doing a bathroom remodel and uncovered a large structural issue buried by the previous builder and Sean was able to draw up a good solution without significant expense to the clients and was able to submit the appropriate documents to the building department. Since then I have brought in Sean on 2 other projects to assist in design and corrections with excellent results.

Sean helped out my construction company last year when we were in a pinch with some unexpected structural dry-rot. He made quick work of the engineering drawings and had everything submitted and permitted for us (in Fairfax) in just a few weeks. Other engineers in the West Marin area quoted me months to produce working drawings.

Sean and his staff rat STC responded immediately to my request to inspect a failed interior wooden truss member in our large showroom in San Rafael. He informed me of the potential danger to the building and our tenant, and assisted me in procuring emergency repair capabilities. He worked closely with that contractor to devise a repair design that was effective and implemented immediately.
We then procured STC's services to analyze the remaining truss members that were deemed vulnerable to the same sudden failure. They came up with a retrofit design to apply to all remaining 50+ year old trusses; acquired permits from the city, and provided construction engineering during the fix.
I feel fortunate to have contacted such a competent and responsive local structural engineering firm.
