Spencer Concrete installed a stamped concrete patio at my home and within months it began chipping. After our project manager came out to investigate, he determined it was faulty concrete and agreed to have it replaced. We were very flexible with the timing, leaving it up to them, as to not eat into their busy season. However, every year it continues to degrade and they will not return any calls or emails. Very disappointing that their word could not be trusted and we are left with a large expense when we decide to replace it.

Justin worked with us on our new patio with a drain tile. We had troubles with water and sidewalk uneven and couldn't open our door. With this companies knowledge and hard work they removed all old sidewalk and dirt and put in this beautiful kiln red color patio w/drain tile. Stamp was Belgium slate. We are so pleased with the timing and coordination it took to get this beautiful job done before the 4th of July. I would not hesitate to hire them for any other needs. One of the workers thanked us personally for the job opportunity which set me well. Very polite. Great job with clean up too. Pictures say alot. We love it!!! Thank you!!

We moved into our first home in April and the back patio/walkway had settled and sloped towards our house. Water would accumulate near the foundation and had seepage into our crawlspace so needed a fix ASAP. I emailed Spencer Concrete for estimate to tear out our existing concrete and replace back patio only. They were very responsive in replying to emails and was able to get an estimate quickly.

They were able to get to our project sooner than other places I had reach out to. On day one, they removed the old concrete, formed up the new sidewalk/patio, and added sub-layer (previous concrete had no sublayer or re-bar). Initially we were only going to replace the patio but ultimately decided to put in walkway as well. There was clear communication from the crew about what we wanted and would have us come out to ask questions and clarify that things looked correct. They answered our questions clearly and provided their professional opinion on some of the uncertainties we had about our existing stoop and overall design for our project.

We also needed to fix some grading in our lawn after the concrete was replaced and at our request, they scraped some additional high spots in our lawn around the concrete which saved us a lot of time.

On day 2 they were out early to pour and were finished by mid-day. They did a great job finishing. The concrete looked great but there was quite a bit of gravel left behind. I moved to our driveway and when they came out to cut the next day, I asked if they could take the excess gravel and said someone would be out to take it away. About 7pm that night some did come back out and removed the gravel (like every single stone) and cleaned off driveway.

Overall, my experience with Spencer Concrete was very positive. They were responsive when trying to get a quote/timeline for the project. Kyle, the project manager, was also very responsive, replying quickly to my many inquiries about cost, different options, and scope and providing clear answers to my questions. They did quality work on the concrete. My neighbor owns a concrete company and he thought they did good work as well. We also ended up pouring about 2x the square feet than the initial project request and gave a very fair price (both with the initial quote and the final price) and had no issues with us increasing the scope of the project. The area they ran the skid steer to remove existing concrete compacted the ground quite a bit which was expected given the nature of this project and since we needed to re-grade lawn, was always going to have some work to do there. I would recommend Spencer Concrete if you are looking for a company with frequent, clear communication, fair pricing, and quality work.
