I would not recommend Southern Green Builders (SGB) to anyone. My family’s experience has been extremely disappointing due to a complete lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism since moving into our home.

After moving in, getting a response from their team has been a constant struggle. Emails, texts, and calls go unanswered for weeks, leaving us in the dark about key updates and next steps. This lack of communication was incredibly frustrating, especially when you’re dealing with something as significant as your home.

The revolving door of employees over the past two years, dismissive behavior, and an overall unwillingness to listen or engage made it clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority. One of the most frustrating aspects of working with SGB was the constant turnover of project managers and staff during and after the build. With every change, there were significant setbacks: instructions were lost, details had to be re-explained, and previously addressed issues resurfaced. The lack of continuity directly impacted quality and progress

When it came to addressing warranty issues, the situation only worsened. Instead of taking responsibility for problems that were clearly their obligation, they either deflected blame or outright refused to resolve them. This disregard for their own warranty commitments is unacceptable and reflects poorly on their integrity.

To top it all off, their overall professionalism, specifically with Alex Maldonado, leaves much to be desired. His dismissive attitude, lack of follow up and follow through makes it obvious that customer satisfaction is not a priority for him or the company he represents.

If you’re considering this builder, I urge you to save yourself the stress and look elsewhere. You deserve a team that values communication, stands behind their work, and treats their clients with the respect they deserve.

We purchased our home from Southern Green in July 2023. Since then, Alex Maldonado has been completely unprofessional as we’ve tried to address various warranty issues with the builder. Over the course of 9 months, we’ve made dozens of attempts to reach out directly to the builder, with little to no response. I strongly encourage anyone reading this review to reconsider and closely scrutinize the promises and process Southern Green Builders uses to ensure new homeowners can continue enjoying their home after construction.

9/16/24 Update:
The builders response is both false and misleading. As of writing this update, ironically, since posting their response, there has been no correspondence sent despite countless efforts by us to coordinate. The builder appears to be sighting manufacture warranties as opposed to taking responsibility for poor workmanship.

Again, I welcome a call from the builder.

Each team member was easy to work with and made sure we were comfortable and informed along the way.
