Just finished our garage project. On time, and on budget. John was very helpful. Crew was professional and timely. After job was finished cleaned up like they were never there. Very satisfied.

DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY. Installed an addition on my home in Euclid about 6 years ago for $60,000. Never completed the finishing work. Never responded to any calls. Have had electrical issues, found entire sections of ducting that were never connected to furnace in the first place, drywall taping falling off all over the place, and now the icing on the cake is the beginning of structural issues. I still have my original receipts as proof of purchase. The owner is a complete con artist.

*Edit* -Have it in writing that you were contracted. You never had any inspections done after you failed to complete the finishing work on the addition. Your employee Rick felt so bad about the condition you left my property in that he was coming back on the side to try to make it right. He did what he could and I appreciate for him but my gripe is with the company not it’s employees. To call me delusion is astonishing. Your a true con artist.

Hired Solid Ground Construction to do an addition to the back of my house 20' x 18'. John came out sat with us went over our options and he offered a few designs which we agreed upon. He mentioned upfront about any changes after we signed the contract could carry an addendum charge. Which really was not too bad and he absorbed a few as goodwill. This year has been an extremely difficult time in the construction business with skilled tradesman and skilled laborer's along with raising material cost but Solid Ground kept to his word and finished the project on time and we are very happy with the end results.

Solid Ground was initially contracted to fully remodel our bathroom, repair our kitchen ceiling from past water damage and, replace our water heater. While working in our basement to replace the water heater they noticed electrical issues that were missed during inspection. Nothing was up to city code. They not only did an amazing job completing our bathroom and ceiling they did it timely. Darren showed up on time every day even on days that there was threats of snowy weather. We were never caught off guard anything because they kept us well informed about everything day to day. Any issue that arose was resolved typically the same day. They worked with the city inspectors to make sure everything was done properly and to the city code. We could not be more pleased with the professionalism, work ethic and integrity that went in to giving us hot water, updated and safe electric in our basement, and a functional bathroom that we love! I highly recommend that you give them a chance to earn your business.

We are very happy with our garage repair. It was extensive - a rebuild of the top half. They actually raised the entire roof by 8" to accommodate a standard size garage door and now the top of our van no longer brushes the door!
The garage was older construction and the roof was failing. We had a band-aid repair a few years ago that was also failing. Solid Ground figured out how to get the most improvement while retaining as much as possible so it is functionally a new garage. They were transparent about plans and pricing, absorbed some costs when they found issues that weren't in the original estimate, and were clear and up-front about other changes they recommended and their prices, providing change orders for approval in advance. They noticed a couple problems, including with the new garage door, and took the initiative to keep coming back with new parts until they could get the problem fixed.

A lesson in life. Requested this company provide an estimate for a lead abatement project. Met me at home only to say they would not provide the estimate unless I paid them an $800.00 down payment up front. Already having a rough time finding companies for this project, I agreed out of desperation even though I knew this $800.00 was a giant red flag. I was under the impression this money would be refunded as the gentleman said this money would be put towards work performed on the home. John LaRussa, I believe is the owner of this company, provided the estimate for windows and siding and some other small repairs. Approximately $34,000 for everything. Sounded like a fair price but when we went to go look at the windows prior to purchase, we were looking for a better product. We decided to get the windows from another company and asked that his company just do the siding. We went back and forth with ironing out the details but he started coming up with excuses on why he had to do the windows and the siding for it to be legal with the Ohio Department of Health. I contacted ODH and they said that was not true. It became a game of back and forth from that point on. I decided to get another estimate from another lead abatement contractor (TNT construction) who came out to my house provided a lead abatement estimate (FREE OF CHARGE) and it was cheaper than what Solid Ground Construction quoted me. I called John LaRussa, to tell him we were going a different direction and asked he send a refund as services were not provided. He simply said "No". I felt swindled after this entire experience. I would highly recommend you look elsewhere if you are looking for a company to provide any construction related service.

One summer after air conditioner installed no Freon but would not correct problem! Install took 2 (10 hr) days! Here until 9 pm two days! Owner tried to make problem MY fault!!
