There has been a lot of talk about the builder by some of our neighbors, so let me explain the 5 star review. After 3 years our septic system backed up. We had a plumber snake it and removed the blockage at the entrance of the septic tank, and everything worked fine immediately after that. Nevertheless, I dug up the septic to try to see if there were any issues, because our neighbor had an issue a year or so prior that Smee had fixed. There was a minor questionable thing regarding the pipe entering the tank as well as a question about inside the entrance of the tank where it got clogged; and as a result my neighbors, myself, and the plumber tried to take the septic lid off to look, but we could not get the lid off. Technically, the warranty was only for one year, so Smee could have just made it our problem to get the lid off and take a look. However, because they care about their reputation, and want to remove any doubt about their work, they brought in a septic truck to pop open the septic lid and had it pumped for us. As a result, I wanted to give them this 5 star review, because they went above what they were required to do what was best for their customer - us. I was also able to learn alot about the tank and even tips for better care of it. Homebuilders face a lot challenges to please their customers - a very difficult task, so I understand the complaints that come in, but from my standpoint, we are happy and content and believe we received good value in this home and in our relationship with Smee Builders.

If i could give them a 0 I would. I have owned one if their homes for a little over 5 years now. I wish i could sell and buy from a different builder. I well NEVER buy a Smee built home again.
