Bought a house while stationed overseas. Should've known better. Countless emails and phone calls have garnered little to no results in completing our two week walk through lists that was held in Jan 2022, it's now March 2023.
We have resubmitted our issues list multiple times because the list has either been lost or the site supervisor has misplaced....they've replaced the supervisor three times since we've been here.
I have never spent so much time chasing down D.R. Horton employees in order for them to do their job. Sadly it's probably taken me so long because I also have a job that needs to be done as well.

I can't explain how thankful I'm with the service I received from Carrie. I had stopped before at new constructions and never was greed the way Carrie did first of all. She took the time to explain every little detail on a new built home. She walk me thru every step and always communicate with me. I want to give her ALL the credit for putting my Family into our New Home in 30 Days. Overall D.R. Horton so far has meet my expectations.

DR Horton is a terrible company. Low quality builds and very terrible customer service. Once you’ve signed the contract they don’t care about you anymore.
I am still waiting for Sean, the building superintendent, to get back to me about the repairs my home needs. He told me I would be called back in about a week. It has been several months now and I have left many messages for him with no response.

Steer clear of DR Horton if you are looking to buy a home. It’s pretty telling that most of the good reviews for them are from “local guides” who don’t even live in these houses.

Edit: 2 months later and they still have not yet come out to fix the issues that this house had from the corners they cut while building it.

My husband and I bought a house from DR Horton and honestly we regret it. First we had to delay are closing which played a domino effect in our life because they failed to get an inspection. We have been waiting or repairs and every time we reach out to our superintendent nothing gets fixed, it’s someone new and they always change the process. The things that were suppose to be fixed for our final walk through now have to go to warranty because that’s the new process along with the warranty being back logged for the entire community. The house is poorly constructed with a poor system to fix their errors. We hate DR horton

I am a home owner here and am quite disappointed at the lack of quality. Not to mention, my closing checklist has not been completed and I have lived here for 3 months. Issues that are reported are masked instead of fixed. You never know who to speak to to escalate issues because of the amount of turnover. I would highly recommend walking around the neighborhood of existing homes prior to purchasing. I purchased a DR Horton home because they were said to be good quality. Unfortunately that is not true at this location.

Don't do it!!!!! Run, run away as fast as you can from this builder. Bought a house 8 years ago, already replacing windows, a bathroom and still finding issues. In the process of suing. All of my neighbors are experiencing the same.

I stopped by one of the neighbors to see how these houses were being built. The two neighbors I spoke with were very dissatisfied. Had multiple issues that were not being addressed by the warranty team and it appeared to be poor quality workmanship. Both of them have only lived there for a few months.

Terrible experience. I've been here 4 months and never received the repairs for my closing checklist by the builder. My assigned contractor was terminated from my complaint of false promises and now I'm facing harassment anytime I can come out of my house by the work crew here. I gave up on the builder and was given a recommendation to work with the warranty team instead by someone who cares.
