Our furnace died the day before Thanksgiving, which was unbelievable.. Shackelford was out within a few hours and installed a replacement at a really good price.
Jim and another installer even left the basement area cleaner than they found it!

Service Manager, John is another awesome team member. He got all excited when we picked out a unit! Service with a big smile!

Shackleford’s response time and attention to detail is second to none. Our furnace started acting up days before we left on vacation in January. Mike was here the next day with a part to replace the issue to bridge the gap to the new furnace and got us through to our return. Their customer support and crew are 110% professional.

My 22 year old home HVAC system was on its last legs, so I called in 5 Madison area HVAC contractors for advice and a bid for new furnace and AC. While all the representatives for each of the different contractors seemed knowledgeable, I chose Shackelford because Mike Hoffer clearly understood my current heating, cooling and humidity control problems and he specified a new Carrier system that could address those problems.

After Mike gave me his proposal, I spent many hours reading about the capabilites of the different components on the Carrier website, Reddit and other online sources. I also consulted my nephew who is an HVAC contractor in the Chicago area. My nephew thought Mikes solution was very good and I felt very comfortable that Mike's proposal was a good one, with no BS.

Four Shackelford technicians did the furnace, AC and smart thermostat installation. They were knowledgable, fast, clean and willing to answer all of my questions ( I had a lot of questions - I'm an engineer and I want to understand how EVERYTHING works).

I'm writing this review the evening of the installation day, so I don't have any long term results on how well this system meets my expectations, but I will update this review if I have problems that Shackelford does not address to my satisfaction. Having said that, I don't expect that to happen -- these guys are a top notch company!

If I could give Shackelford 6 stars, I would.

Excellent experience
I called on Friday, they sent someone out within an hour and a Half. Ordered a new furnace and had it to me on Monday.
Would recommend to anyone looking for great pricing. They sent Hunter, on Friday who was excellent. Justin,Parker were the installers, very personable and professional. Thank you for a great experience.

Recently contacted Shackelford to install a new HVAC unit into an addition for my home. Everyone was very helpful and kind. Work was completed within a cofortable timeframe. Work area was kept clean. I would recommend them for any furthee work.
