For our commercial building, we have been using San Diego General Contracting for a number of years now. They have done extensive remodeling on a number of occasions. For the remodeling, you couldn't tell that it wasn't part of the original building. All the work was very good quality workmanship. Working with Paul and others was always a pleasant experience, and we never ran into any problems or late deadlines. We would highly recommend them for any construction projects you may have.

SDGC is hands down one of the best contractors I have ever worked with. We had a huge staircase/balcony issue and the team was there every step of they way with the reconstruction of it from myself the property manager, the owner, & the city. They are thorough and make sure you completely understand every step. Communication was wonderful and best of all they are friendly and knowledgeable. I look forward to working with Diane & Eric again. #1 preferred contractor!

I can’t thank the Team at SDGC enough for the experience I just had with them. They did the TI’s for a coffee shop we’re opening, and the experience was seamless. From the minute they picked up the phone when I called for an estimate, to the end of the job, every single person we worked with was wonderful, attentive, and on top of their game. Eric and Paul are both a joy to work with. They’re so nice and down to earth, yet also professional and down to business. Geo and Eddie were on the job, and their team did such great work, and at lightning speed. I knew the space would look nice, but it exceeded my expectations. They were always so respectful of the space and other tenants, our time, and were always so polite and kind - keeping us posted on the progress and checking in when needed. Couldn’t have asked for better craftsmen. SDGC is very fairly priced, too - with the skill and service you get with them, it’s unmatched. They’re also woman-owned - and she’s an absolute delight. Over the course of this process, we realized we’re basically soul sisters. Diane is responsive, organized, and an excellent businesswoman. She’s also extremely kind, calm and professional. We had a complicated situation with our business loan and she was so incredibly patient with all the requirements, and got us through it quickly, and with grace. It was just a pleasure to work with this company and I can’t recommend them enough to anyone looking for the perfect general contractor.

We learned about SDGC through the recommendation of a friend, and we are so glad we did! They did a beautiful job remodeling our bathroom, bent over backwards to keep us on budget, and were great communicators, very responsive and easy to get ahold of. I am a picky customer with an eye on the details, and they were dedicated to ensuring I got exactly what I was asking for - it was also very transparent how much things were going to cost and what we should expect. We plan to do more projects with them in the future, and as a bonus we are happy to support a local and woman-owned family business. SDGC is trustworthy, reliable and stands by their work - will use them again.

Paul and Diane were beyond amazing to work with. They were very honest and upfront about fixed and variable costs. They communicated with us frequently and professionally throughout the project and set expectations clearly. They stood by us during COVID-19 permitting delays and made us feel like they were available and flexible to help us at any moment. I cannot say enough about this company and their entire team. Our project manager Travis was above and beyond helpful throughout the entire build out of our little ice cream shop as well. This entire team is 10 stars in my opinion. I recently hired San Diego General Contracting Inc. to do my kitchen remodel. I am so pleased with the work they did and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a general contractor.
Paul and Diane Santos were wonderful to work with from the moment we met. I had some ideas about what I wanted to do with my remodel, but they had a vision. Not only did they have a vision of what my dream kitchen could be, but they had the knowledge and expertise to turn that dream into reality.
They completely demoed my kitchen and flooring and took down some existing walls. They relocated my sink, dishwasher, laundry facilities and refrigerator. They got rid of my outdated track lighting and installed beautiful recessed lighting. They built a new laundry closet and island and put new flooring throughout my condo. My home has been entirely transformed and the finished product is absolutely more fantastic than I ever could have imagined.
This was my first remodel in my first home so I wasn't sure what to expect and I had lots of questions throughout the process. Diane and Paul always made themselves available to all of my calls and texts. They really went above and beyond to make sure I was well informed about all the work that was being done. It is clear to me that client satisfaction is a priority for them.
I got a very fair price for the work that was done. Not only that, but they finished EARLY! They had given me an estimate of how long they thought it would take, and they finished sooner than the date on the contract. That being said, they never rushed through anything or cut any corners; I feel confident that the work they did is of the highest quality.
I'm so pleased that I chose San Diego General Contracting Inc. for my remodel. They turned my outdated condo into a home I am truly proud of and I am so grateful for all of their hard work.
