How long is a home’s stucco exterior supposed to last? 5 years? 10 years? Try 2 years. Sadly, this former, well-reputed company won’t even come out and see the spider cracks on the house they built and placed their seal on the garage back in 2022. Yes, they put a seal of their company on each home they build. It’s supposed to be a signature—something to be proud of. I’m sorry today- this is no longer the norm for this company.

FIRST- I want to be fair and state the positives about the home. The design is pragmatic, beautiful, and the best of any other builder in this area- to be honest. The layout of the home is perfect. The colors and designs chosen are classic but not frumpy. They can build quite a good home- when they want to…

Now about the issue we have… the stucco! This spring of 2025, we will have the stucco on this home redone. We have had three stucco contractors tell us the following: “ This definitely appears to be cracking beyond normal settling. My guess is poor materials or workmanship. Maybe this wall was done in freezing temperatures?”. They also said, “ I am guessing you have already asked the builder about this? If not, it would be worth confronting them and requesting a restoration of the wall. In our experience, builders are pretty resistant to fix anything with stucco and always defer to “cracking is normal”. We know, however, that this is due to poor workmanship on a one-coat stucco system.” So this is very interesting. We reached out to the CEO of this company and asked for them to come out and take a look. He and his “team” which, interestingly enough, consists of his family, have been quite dismissive. They were, however, pretty torn up that we decided to enact our First Amendment rights of free speech and wrote reviews. This upset them the most- not the fact that the product they charged over a million dollars for in 2022 now needs a new exterior.

Come on guys- you can do better than this.
