The Platte shop is a fantastic place to work, especially if you’re just starting out in the field. They have an impressive array of specialty tools, ensuring you have everything you need to get the job done efficiently. The supervisors on third shift are also great and create a supportive environment.

However, I do have some concerns regarding the management. It’s disappointing to see that they’ve hired some of the worst-performing members of management from Denver First Transit and placed them as Director of Maintenance and Assistant Manager at the Platte shop. This decision seems to undermine the otherwise positive aspects of working here.

If you’re an inexperienced technician, this company offers a good opportunity to gain experience and develop your skills. But if you’re an experienced diesel technician, you might find yourself frustrated. The work environment and management style may not be conducive to those with significant experience in the field.

For those with experience, I strongly suggest looking into other companies where your skills and expertise will be better recognized and utilized.

I ride the A line they check your ticket when you board and then for the first stop or 2 they check everyones ticket again, why am I getting checked twice and those who board after 40th and Colorado dont get checked once, ridiculous and the A line is the only linr they enforcr tickets

RTD is the worst bus service in the United States they don't care if you make a transfer they don't care if you get to your job on time and if you call to complain they will tell you oh sorry you weren't within the window for that bus to wait for you wait for the next one and they don't care a bus driver will look at you and drive off and they don't care
the worst service in the entire United States if I could give them zero Stars I would. RTD is violating the ADA based on age. Adults within certain age range ride free while others must pay totally illegal!!!!!!! Buses taking a detour have the option of stopping at bus stops along the way. I care for a disabled man and the rtd drivers all said walk. The worst people working for the worst bus service in the country.
