I will never ever rent from this man again. He was so strict with the rental property rules and the rental home( as if it's a mansion). He does not want police called to his rental property so it won't affect his business. He is not a friendly or respectful man to deal with - he has split personalities
and is a money hungry gambler. If you rent from this man make sure you do a through walk threw inspection, take lots of pictures (everything counts if you want all your deposit back), and keep up with all rental payments, and make sure you Read the lease *He* put together Carefully before signing. I rented a duplex from Steve on 11/06/2022. The rent was $1400 plus bills. When I moved in, they gave me a form to fill out listing any damages or repairs that needed to be made. Well, there were several damages to the walls. Big holes so I listed I needed those holes in the wall to be repaired so that I could hang my TV up above the fireplace. Well, my TV set on the floor in front of the fireplace throughout my whole lease, because none of the damages were ever repaired. Four months after I moved in, squirrels got into the attic and I have two little Chihuahuas, and every time those squirrels moved around it sounded like bowling balls, and my dogs would bark constantly. So annoying. I couldn’t even sit in my own living room and enjoy watching a movie without chaos every single day. I requested for Steve to get rid of the squirrels and it took him four months to send someone over to do so, but the person he sent over was dumber than the squirrels and nothing ever got done, I lived in that $1400 house full of holes in the wall and squirrels in the attic throughout my whole lease. When I moved out I didn’t sweep or mop or clean the bathtub or the toilet or the oven because basically I was pissed and it wasn’t in that great of condition when I moved in. By the way, I paid a $1200 deposit, and when I requested some of it be returned to me , none of it was. They tried to charge me for the previous tenants holes in the wall and the squirrels in the attic. My advice to you is not to rent from Steve Urbantke.
