It took over 4 months for Ridge to pull permits for my rebuild. When I contacted the city of Denver they said that Ridge was supposed to submit additional documentation for the entire 4 months. Ridge sent me a bill for 20 hours of "permit expediting" at a cost of nearly $4000. When we decided to use another contractor, Vern was extremely unprofessional and attempted to close out my permits quickly before I could transfer them to my new construction professional. You could find someone in the parking lot of Home Depot with more professionalism.

Stay away from this company. We hired them to build an ADU on our property in Arvada. Permits were rejected in September of 2022 for a long list of things that Ridge did not have right in the design, the guy at Ridge, Daniel Leach, who was working on the project was lying about the status of the permits for months, we found out in January of 2023 that this was the case after he filed a lien on our property to apparently get money from Ridge. According to the owner Vern who at the time promised us he would make this right and get a new project manager on our project. It is now June, we never got introduced to the new project manager, the permits have been rejected three times now
This entire project was estimated at 20 weeks, we are now well over 40 weeks without even approved drawings and permits. We have requested to stop working with Ridge and Vern says he cannot pay back the $18,000 deposit we paid for phase 2 construction which never started because they can't seem to get the engineering and design drawings correct. He has requested a payment plan to pay us back because he doesn't have the money.
This is a breach of contract and illegal for them to use that money for anything other than our project. We also requested the $10k back that we paid on April 8th 2023 when we were told the permits were approved and it was for design engineering fees, Vern refuses.
We have had to engage an attorney and are out a lot of money at this point. What a complete nightmare. I hope no one has the misfortune of dealing with this horrible business.

Buyers and subcontractors BEWARE. We helped Vernon (Ridge Construction) with electrical part of a job in Conifer Jan-Mar 2023. Homeowner paid Vernon but Vernon has not paid us, said he doesn't have the money.

Ridge did a wonderful job of taking care of me and family. The entire process from start to finish was seamless and easy to follow. Would definitely recommend these guys to anyone looking for a great construction crew.

BEWARE!!!! My husband and I hired Vern for multiple jobs and paid him over 65k in deposits. Nothing got past zoning for our personal project, and no work was even started on the other projects. He basically stole money from us and won’t even respond to our attorney’s letter. I can’t believe he isn’t in jail!!!!

Vern is a Thief!! They took our deposits and returned nothing. They cannot navigate the permit department and drop the ball on everything they do. Ridge is extremely unprofessional and unethical.

This company is not paying their subs who are doing the work, Vern is a thief. DO NOT HIRE THEM OR WORK FOR THEM!!! He has not paid us for almost $18K of work we completed recently.

We had our kitchen remodeled & upgraded by Ridge Construction & they did amazing work!! We would most definitely recommend them & will be sure to use their services again, for future home projects!!
