Joe and Elias did a great job fixing my block wall at my Fullerton home. The wall had a lot of loose blocks on the top row and I asked Joe to come out and see what needed to be done to secure the wall and fix the areas that were not straight.

They took a few blocks off the top two rows of the wall and saw that years ago the wall had been raised two courses by simply stacking blocks on top of cap blocks - so no reinforcement and no rebar had been used. Note that my next door neighbors lost the top two rows of their entire block wall during an earthquake a few years ago for the same reason.

PVM tore the wall down by three layers and then rebuilt it with the proper construction with rebar and concrete. They were able reuse the original cap blocks at the top. The work was done in one day with little disruption to our family home and cleanup was done and they stayed on price - which was a fair price based upon other companies that I contacted (many of whom didn't even respond with a quote).

I don't like dealing with contractors as there always seem to be surprises and changes to what they promise and it takes longer than promised - so I highly recommend PVM Concrete and Pavers if you don't want to deal with those kind of headaches and want a good job done at a fair price - on time!
