I would highly recommend Preferred Home Builders. I got 5 estimates before deciding on PHB. Nir their designer reviewed my plans and made them even better. He came up with great ideas I had not thought about. Elba in the office was super helpful when I needed help picking things out and keeping me up to date as to what was needed from me to stay on schedule. The whole process went super smoothly. We stayed on schedule and my ADU was completed on time and we stayed on budget. The place looks great and I would definitely use them again!

Preferred Home Builders, specifically Tamir and Talia, helped us through every stage of building an ADU above our garage. They guided us through the design process to reimagine our small space into something that will benefit our family long into the future. They took care of dealing with permits and making sure everything was to code. We passed all inspections with ease. Construction was surprisingly fast! They really know what they are doing and it is evident in their work and the way they deliver on their promises. The schedule they laid out is pretty much how it all worked out. The cost was fair with no surprises and we have received very high quality for our budget. Any little delays and changes along the way have been handled with transparency and communication was always easy and efficient. Preferred is a family business that really takes care. We have been so impressed throughout the process and now as they finish the very last details with attention and precision we are delighted with the outcome!

I have been planning my bathroom remodel for many years but kept getting side tracked with other projects around the house. Finally made a point to update my old style bathroom to a new modern look. I interviewed 5 different contractors and assessed how prompt they were at getting back to me e.g. sending a quote, answering my questions, their knowledge and how soon they can start the project. When it came down to the final three, I had them provide me with referrals. I decided with Rene at PHB. Rene even offered to go shopping for tile with me. Jadi in their office was my point of contact. She is fabulous to work with. She gave me weekly updates on the work scheduled for the week and a progress report. She returned my calls day or night and even on the weekends! She is not a 8-5 person and worked hard to make sure I was happy. Samuel was my lead foreman on the job. His crew was careful to keep my house clean by installing layout board on the stairs and entry. They were conscience of my privacy plus made sure my pups did not get out. I did have a few items I didn't like and they were quick to fix it. The job took a little longer than expected but my bathroom looks awesome. I rather spent extra time and have it done right. I would highly recommend PHB. A company is only as good as the people that works for them.

I met several other contractors but it was clear that Preferred were the experts in the Kitchen remodel category from the first meeting with Nir. They were transparent about pricing, discussed various options / layouts / costs, etc. I ultimately went with a design that fit my budget after several conversations with Nir.

Accommodating - I had to push the start date back for personal reasons and they were understanding and supportive. Once we actually started the project flowed according to their timeline.

Supportive - throughout the process Nir & Alba (Project Manager) were both extremely helpful. Nir offered help and suggestions along the way when it came to purchases and project decision. Alba helped us stay on track, liaised between all parties, and ensured the project ran smoothly.

Attention to detail - WOW, the house looks completely different and it's because I chose the right contractor. I'm a firm believer in the saying "you pay for what you get". Quality matters to me, craftsmanship matters, and professionalism matters to me. If it matters to you then do yourself a favor and connect with Preferred Home Builders.

We absolutely enjoyed our experience with Preferred Home Builders.

Nir and Elba were with us at every stage of this project. From planning, working through changes together, weekly updates, texts, videos, pictures, phone calls, in person visits, answering all our questions and more. They both were very responsive to any concerns and addressed them quickly. They made sure we were 100% satisfied with all the work that was done. We feel that Nir and Elba really cared about building the extension of our dreams and we built a good working relationship with them.

The crew of workers that were here weekdays and weekends. All were very friendly and took the time to make sure to check in that we liked what they did that day.

We just passed final inspection on a 430sqft room addition with Preferred Home Builders! When we started looking for people for this project about 4 months ago I met with four companies. PHB was the first one we met with. Tamir the owner came by and he looked at our blueprint drawings and looked out back of the house and he quickly understood the scope of the work and idea of the project. His experience in the field definitely shows in his understanding of the project. His estimate of the completion was 3 months. He was confident in that though I was skeptical. I spoke with another customer he was working with at the time to get feedback on her experience with them. She actually was a repeat customer.
After a few weeks of meeting others we decided that Tamir and PHB would be our choice. His pricing was more than fair. Once we signed things moved along very quickly. Talia, who is also his daughter, helped coordinate the scheduling for each weeks work. She's been amazing throughout the process. Always letting us know what to expect for each phase of the project. Steven the foreman has been more than amazing! He and his team of workers have been great to work with - professionally and personally. Everyone at PHB has been great working with. Almost exactly to 3 months when we started we are done!
Has everything been perfect? Of course not. It never is. I've worked with different contractors for different projects at my house and there's always something that goes wrong. But the important thing is how do they respond when you have a problem? PHB always made sure to address everything I bring up and never said they can't do something or give me problems fixing something. You also expect to have some additional charges for unexpected things. How much extra did I pay? ZERO! First time in a major home project that I didn't end up paying any extra charges!
We referred them to our friend also and they just started work on their addition and we have another friend who's meeting with them for a major project. Very happy I found PHB and would gladly recommend them for your home project! Thanks Tamir and everyone at PHB!

Preferred Home Builders has been a great experience for us. We had a fairly complicated project, and they have been great from beginning to end. In particular, Dean (head of the project) and Alina (project manager) have been incredible. They communicated with me often and were very clear about what to expect. The quality of work has been outstanding. We had a couple of issues during the project that weren’t anyone’s fault, but they were still issues that had to be resolved. They handled it quickly, even though it meant at one point they had to bring back the crew unexpectedly. Trust is the biggest factor to us. We had a bad experience with the previous contractor, so we’ve seen the other side of things. I highly recommend Preferred Home Builders for your next home project.
