Kitchen Renovation Review – Platinum Home Builders & Design (Mark)

I recently completed a full kitchen renovation with Platinum Home Builders & Design, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the results. From start to finish, Mark and his team demonstrated professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering a high-quality finished product.

The project involved a complete transformation—merging the old kitchen, dining room, and pantry into one large, modern space. Every aspect of the renovation was handled with precision, from the new cabinetry and kitchen island with a mini-fridge and dishwasher to the over-the-top faucet by the stove and updated electrical with a new sub-panel. The Carrera-style porcelain tile in a checkered rhombus pattern turned out beautifully, adding a timeless elegance to the space.

Mark was great to work with—communicative, knowledgeable, and always ensuring the work was up to the highest standard. The lighting choices, including recessed lighting, pendant lights over the island, and a crystal chandelier with bronze accents, were installed flawlessly and give the kitchen a warm and sophisticated feel.

Beyond aesthetics, the functionality of the kitchen has improved dramatically. The thoughtful layout and high-end finishes make cooking and entertaining much more enjoyable. The renovation was a significant investment, but the quality of work and final outcome made it well worth it.

Full disclosure, my son Devon (he's the best, you'll see) works for Platinum Home Builders—and I'm glad he does! He brought in a great concrete guy, and my old crumbly asphalt driveway is now an awesome concrete driveway. The work was first class. LASER surveying and leveling, the rebar is tapped into the existing concrete of the garage and back sidewalk. They surprised me by putting in a first class drain, too (existing drain line was fed by a simple hole), without me asking for it. The installer was especially concerned that the driveway would drain properly, and when the rains came everything was fine. Really a flawless job, not one thing I don't like. I enjoy practicing basketball on the nice back pad, and it's now a smooth drive to and from the garage, all 83 feet.

Platinum Home Builders and Design exceeded my expectations during our recent remodel project. From start to finish, their stellar communication set them apart. Text messages were answered promptly—often within minutes—which alleviated much of the stress that typically comes with remodeling and ensured the project stayed on track.

The quality craftsmanship was outstanding. Every detail was meticulously handled, from the wood flooring and tile work to the plumbing, electrical, and painting. It was clear that they take pride in their work and aim for perfection.

They also worked extremely well with my interior designer, creating a seamless collaboration that brought our vision to life. Despite the inevitable challenges that come with any remodel, they completed the project on time, allowing my family to enjoy the holidays in our beautifully remodeled home.

What impressed me most was their fairness. While there were a couple of change orders for genuine scope increases, they didn’t nickel and dime us. They accommodated several small adjustments without additional charges.

Worked with Platinum and project manager Gil L. to replace several windows on our 1926 house. The new windows had to be custom built. Gil and team did a great job measuring, manufacturing, installing and painting the new windows. The crew worked diligently and respectfully, and the work quality was excellent. Highly recommend! We’ll definitely work with Platinum again when we need anything major done on our house.

Just finished our roofing project today. Overall, the process was easy and the Platinum Home Builders team was great. Larry came over to inspect the problems with our roof. Henry and crew worked quickly and completed the job in a day. Larry came back for a follow-up inspection and to make sure we were completely satisfied (which we were). Platinum Home comes highly recommended! Devon was the project manager for my 2.5 bathroom remodel, and he is a great communicator. He came over the same day on short notice while I was in town visiting the subject rental property. I shared with him my vision of the project literally on a piece of paper and they turned the light “blue print” into reality without formal building doc instructions. The pricing was quick and within market. The quality, cleanliness, and friendliness of their sub contractors were strong. All inspections passed first time. Devon regularly took pictures and sent me progress updates as I live 2000 miles away from the work being performed. The team worked swiftly while accommodating my tenant’s schedule and even picked up parts/materials from local retailers that I purchased online to help complete the job.
