I ordered 2 tons of 4"-8" river rock. I received much larger rock that is mostly 8"-12". It's way too large, and when I called Pioneer I was told this is correct and the size varies. I understand size varies but the wrong rock was loaded and delivered. My landscaper has worked with Pioneer before and said it's absolutely the wrong size. Due to the large size I cannot spread it and therfore do not have enough. According to Pioneer the 12" rock in the photo passed through an 8" screen which is clearly not possible. I will never deal with this company again. I also paid for 5 to 6 hundred pounds of dirt.

Does this look like 1/4 ton of rock Their scale was being worked on, so the kid “eyeballed” it & charged us for 1/4 ton!! It was maybe 150lbs...kid was very rude when called out on it! We’re doing a huge landscape project, this spring, & they WILL NOT be getting our business! What a ripoff!! UPDATE I received a call from the manager & she took care of me, very apologetic & very pleasant to work with...thank you for making things right!

Absolutely FANTASTIC experience from start to finish with the team at the Berthoud location! My wife and I had a great interaction with Heather and Mark, and then a few days later, Rob did a phenomenal job on the delivery! We honestly could not have been happier with the entire process of getting rock for our backyard and Rob did a great job of calling ahead and then coordinating with me directly to ensure the loads were dumped in the proper spots. We cannot recommend the Berthoud location enough and will certainly be repeat customers as we work on landscaping our new home!

Very helpful staff in the office. Helped me pick proper material & quantity. Delivery schedule was a little off, but once the driver arrived everything went very smoothly. Got my material delivered exactly where I wanted it. Great to have a local landscaping supply source, out here in the boonies.

I shopped a few landscape companies and found Pioneer to be the most reasonable. Faye and the staff are very helpful and happy. They made me feel as if I was their number one customer. The first time they delivered they were running a little late but they gave me a courtesy call to say they were on their way. The second time they delivered, I called in the morning and they had it delivered same day. They made sure it was delivered on time because they knew I was on a strict work schedule. The drivers were great. They made sure to dump the rock in the exact spot that was most convenient for me. I can not say enough about how friendly and professional they all are. I highly recommend using them for your landscape needs. Thank you.

Pioneer is the best!! They have great prices and excellent customer service! We have been using them for supplies on work projects for 15 years. We have also used them for our personal home landscaping needs. Today I had Jeremy with the flatbed drop off artificial turf and supplies and he went above and beyond to help me fit everything into where I needed to store it. Previously, the dump truck drivers have been very conscious to make sure the materials are right where they are needed and very contained. Everyone in the office is also awesome with their knowledge and service.
