I have installed several of these kits in Paradise, ca since the campfire in 2018. They are well built using all kiln dried lumber which has a much lower rate of warping and twisting. Savings are generally associated with design and engineering. Working with the owner Tony has always been a pleasure and questions regarding the kits are a phone call away to their builders hotline. Each kit comes with a numbered series of walls with a key to install by number. These kits can be installed with a basic knowledge of construction. However, if you want a full service build contractors such as myself are available in many areas to build the home of your dreams.

Worst experience I've ever had. Contract is non-negotiable, non-refundable. Service is bad, they sell through 3rd parties and don't allow cancellations. Price gouging also since lumber prices increase. Doesn't meet specification either. Impossible to set-up and carry. Significant delays in deliver and they charge for additional changes in delivery schedule. Would NEVER recommend anyone use them. It's cheaper and faster to have a general contractor just buy the materials and build on site instead. Nailing schedule was also off on the shearwall, which caused failure in inspection. Doesn't save time since the parts had to be cut to fit. Literally was off compared to the foundation plan. So many problems. A nightmare in the making.

After the Paradise Camp Fire, I went to Pacific Modern homes with an idea from my previous home of what I wanted my new house to look like, as well as some non-conventional building practices (encapsulated home) They took the rough set of plans I had printed from my old footprint, and came up with a set of plans, worked with me to get this done, delivered an excellent product to my empty lot, and with the help of my own general contractor, we have been in the home for a year and a half, and we are very happy with the results. Thanks again to Tony and the rest at PMHI
