We have worked with Oscar, owner of Oscar Vargus Construction and his crew for the past few years since purchasing a home in Carmel. Oscar was highly recommended to us by our realtor, Michelle Vivenzi and we are truly happy for all the work he has completed for us. Oscar has helped us with design ideas and has performed work transforming a concrete slab and dirt backyard into a beautiful outdoor patio with pavers and a bbq kitchen, pergolas, fire pit, terraced planters, and French drains.

He completed several remodeling jobs for us, built a new retainer wall the length of the driveway and back. Turned a downstairs open living area into a beautiful primary bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, built in closets. Then remodeled a dated guest bathroom with new flooring, new bathtub/shower area, and all that was necessary as you can imagine in an old bathroom. There are other jobs, laundry room remodel, built outdoor fence and gate in front, basically updated a house built in the 60’s with impeccable quality of work.

Oscar has been very helpful in times of emergencies with the extreme rainfall and power outages Carmel has encountered in the past couple of years. His crew is a group of talented, courteous, hard working and reliable individuals that we have come to really like and trust the superior quality of work in each and every job. He has provided our electrical, plumbing, wood working, painting, tiling, countertops, etc.

We highly recommend Oscar Vargus Construction for new build and remodeling work. He has always come in before or on time. We can actually say he and his family, and his crew are friends now. We’ve worked with many other contractors over the years on other jobs and cannot say the same. We highly recommend Oscar and his company. I wish I had more before and after pictures to post.

Oscar Vargas and his team have done numerous projects at our home in Carmel Valley. Most recently they built a beautiful outdoor living space that we now use all the time.
