We won the lottery on hiring the absolute best contractor and team for our whole house remodel! Rob O’Neil hands down is the person you want to hire when planning a remodeling project. Our home was a complete gut job and build out. The creative team at O’Neil came up with a brilliant idea to add a full second floor to maximize square footage and when I say game changer, I mean absolute game changer! We were up north for most of the project, but communication between Rob, Adam, our project manager, and Jen, the designer, was amazing. From weekly calls with Adam, the buildertrend program that tracks spending and all the constant texts and emails back and forth, we were never at a loss for what was happening in our home. Responsive is an understatement regarding how quickly everyone responded to my questions or ideas. This project was actually fun from the selection process to the small details at the end. You really begin to feel like you are part of the O’Neil Industries’ family in the best way possible. Rob’s super calm demeanor and his thoroughness and attention to detail are off the charts! Our home went from being a 1990’s dated house to a home that is welcoming and one I’ve been told that belongs in a magazine! Do not hesitate at all if you are looking for the BEST contractor in SWFL! I worked with Rob O’Neil and his team after Hurricane Ian to rebuild my condo on Sanibel Island. I was very happy with the process and the high quality result. Rob operates with integrity and transparency and he and his team took responsibility for the entire process, including interactions with the condo association board and staff, the city’s building department, and even the association’s restoration company. My experience with O'Neal Industries and Rob specifically dates back through two complete renovations of my condo at Ocean's Reach on Sanibel Island. The unit was originally completely remodeled by O'Neil in 2020 and then again in 2024 after Hurricane Ian. I was most impressed by Rob's thoroughness and and attention to detail. One of the most difficult obligations of a general contractor is to make sure the sub contractors do not take shortcuts or just strive for good enough. We highly recommend Rob O'Neil and his team for your renovation project. Rob completely renovated our entire Gulf front condo in Naples - gutting it, working with us to make design changes to the floor plan, and bringing it to its current beautiful completion.

Throughout the process we found Rob to have integrity: we could always rely on his word. From the first time we met with him through now he has been honest, trustworthy, and completely professional. We received very prompt responses to our communications with him.

Rob's use of current technology was very helpful to us. The development of his contract with us was thorough, as was his scheduling of each step in the process. It was fun to see his detailed monitoring of the renovation on his computer screen. And the Builders Trend app allowed us to follow along through pictures, billing, and scheduling from 1,400 miles away.

Rob's team was very creative and helpful to us with picking out finishes, designing cabinetry, and even helping with furnishing our place afterward.

We'd like to note that our renovation was challenged when Hurricane Ian flooded our building, and wiped out the electric capability. Rob went "above and beyond" for us - locating a generator when it was almost impossible to find one, bringing fuel for it each day, and ensuring our place stayed dry and mold-free while it was without power.

We've done 2 other "gut" renovations of our homes in the last 7 years and worked with excellent contractors. But working with Rob and his team was the best - a true pleasure....which makes our delight with our "new" Naples home even more meaningful.

The O'Neil Industries team did an amazing job with our renovation. From the outset they were proactive, knowing that we had a firm deadline in order to have the house ready for our daughter's wedding. We had a 6-month window to relocate a kitchen, gut the master bath install new floors throughout the house and rebuild our fireplace and millwork surrounds. The design staff was excited about our vision and guided us through the process, so that materials were ready for install as needed. Thier responsiveness to either questions and/or concerns was met with a positive attitude and a willingness to get it right for us. I was so happy when Jen said she knew someone who could do a traditional Tabby wall finish. I think she may have been more excited to see it done than I was. The Tabby wall installers graciously allowed us to watch and video the installation, which was fascinating. They were truly artisans of their craft.

Having had a bad experience with a prior contractor, The O'Neil team was a breath of fresh air to say the least, they communicated in an honest and straightforward manner that you do not often get these days. Even when things did not go as planned, the team was on top of it and got it corrected. While not totally complete, Rob and his team got us back in the house about three weeks before the wedding and finished afterwards. We cannot be happier with the quality and final outcome. I would not hesitate to recommend O'Neil Industries to anyone looking for a communicative, high quality and proactive company and group of individuals.
