Moderno did a great job as shown in the pictures. Based on their high quality of work, knowledge and experience in installing porcelain tiles we highly recommend them to anyone.

The background for this project is interesting. We bought a beautiful papyrus painting from Egypt and wanted to place it over the fireplace, but there was a problem!

This beautiful and impressive painting will not look good over the ugly dark brown color patterned ceramic tiles, installed haphazardly without regard to alignment of pattern by the home builder. Therefore, we decided to replace them with large sky-blue color porcelain tiles.

We also decided to change the old gas-fireplace with more in fashion and sleek electric fireplace offering very pretty colorful media. Moderno specialized teams did the demolishing of old tiles, placement of specialized boards for heavy tiles instead of using sheetrock, making customized wooden framing of new fireplace (see picture), reinstalling the mantel installation of new tiles, hanging of painting and final finishing touchups very professionally.

Best decision we've made when building our house. From the very beginning, Brad was not pushy but super helpful. We've had a horrible experience with our actual home builder and decided to get outside bids for countertops. Moderno and Brad did an outstanding job, from quality materials to excellent customer service. They were patient with us when our house was delayed for 6+ months, super careful during installation and very communicative throughout.

We did the countertops for our entire house with Moderno and wished we had found them sooner for the bathroom walls. Cost was reasonable as well, which really helped when all other costs were going up by 30%-70%.

If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. Some photos of our house added for reference (please excuse our clutter).

I can't say enough good things about the entire Moderno team! From our sales rep, Steve Chambless is AMAZING, to the back office team and the entire installation crew! Not only did they make the process easy, what would normally be a high stress remodel wasn't stressful at all! The product stands for itself, but what makes Moderno Porcelain Works stand out above all their competitors is the amazing customer service both before the sale and after!

When we first arrived at their Shop, we were given an estimate that quickly almost doubled by the time we chose to work with them.
When it comes to the work, the company skimped on the equipment to be used during installation and thus almost resulting in what could have been a catastrophic disaster. The top slab almost fell off from the wall soon after it was put up very inefficiently. Luckily, the installer caught it at the nick of the time. Added a picture from the exact time of the slip. This caused the top and bottom slabs to chip. In all fairness, Moderno immediately agreed to redo the bottom slab. The second time around, they miscalculated the width of the top slab and also missed matching the vein by an inch. Very disappointed.

I highly recommend Moderno. They installed my beautiful porcelain counters and invisicook induction stovetop. They were prompt and professional. Mark and Brent are good guys, they know their product. I would do business with them again - except that I now have my dream kitchen and I thank Moderno sincerely.

My husband and I are SO impressed with these people! We have talked to different dealers about the invisible cooktop and porcelain countertops, but we didn’t learn much from those places. Saba welcomed us. She demonstrated the cooktop and knew everything about all their products. We got to meet the project manager who would install the project! They told us they would even come to Lubbock to do our job. They were all totally amazing! They answered all our questions and made sure we knew we could call with further questions. I hope we can turn our project over to them!
