Been a regular customer at the local Ace hardware/Mendo Mill. Always receive great help from floor personnel. However, there is a cashier at the contractor counter who is not very knowledgeable about products and often takes unnecessary time in checking contractors out. I avoid this person as much as possible when I go in. I prefer to not add a name out of respect for the business.
I understand the issue and person are being addressed.

It's such a pleasure to walk my dog to Mendo Mill in Willits, ask an Associate for help and have the correct plumbing replacement part in my hand within 10 seconds. Also, my dog loves the dog treat selections.

I went there and bought 24 bags of concrete paid and getting ready to show my receipt to the gate worker he said that wasn't his job. Made me feel like I was begging to get my items checked from receipt for proof of purchase. I went back the next day to get more concrete same thing happened just feel like the yard customer service is horrible not friendly and always say that's not my Jon. When i need items from the yard it makes me second guess my decision to go here or make the 30 min drive to ukiah home depot or freedmans. People say stay local but why stay local when local isn't friendly or well priced.

Terrible manager was told when we bought a part we had 90days to return it if there was any problems. The part we bought was wrong so it was never even used. Manager said they would not take it back so now I’m stuck with a part I haven’t and can’t ever use. I’ll never come back

Computers and credit card machines CRASH ALL THE TIME. Employees are lazy and don't know where alot of items are located, and the management is a bunch of idiots.

Outrageously overpriced. I understand a couple dollars more for convenience. But the hikes here are insane. Small PVC glue 5$ more a can, weed eater string 20$ more for commercial roll. Would much rather support local than order off Amazon or waste time driving over the hill but I avoid this place like the plague. Instead of being bombarded left and right by people who don’t know what they’re talking about have half the employees in aisles, one more person on a register and more affordable prices. Business model here is insane. Always a line at the register with one person working and 10 employees gossiping in the aisle lol
