If the engineer has questions about a project he will call me directly to clarify. We couldn't do our work without them!

I’m a contractor. I’ve been working with McPherson for a while now and have done almost $20k with them. I was never fully satisfied but they were by far the cheapest out there. So I continued to push forward. There is a woman named Mary who never sounds like she wants anything to do with me, like I’m always bothering her. The last straw was that they put my account on hold because I owed $375 for work that wasn’t even delivered to me. They hold your work until they are paid which means I have to front the money until I can get my customer to pay. They must have had problems with not satisfying customers so they want all money upfront for final delivery of plans. Any good customer of mine will only pay once they receive the plans. So McPherson put my account on hold, holding up 3 jobs of mine because of $375. For work never delivered! They didn’t give me anything.
I even gave a $750 deposit on a new job that they wouldn’t even start because of this. When I asked Mary to reconsider since I already paid $750 towards a new job she, with no hesitation, said “well we can give you your money back”. I was never going to ask for that, I wanted to come to some kind of understanding with them. But the fact that she quickly wanted to get rid of me just made me not want to work with them. I am now going to get my money back. Money paid weeks ago and no work has been done for my customer.

Ryan McPherson is now retaliating because of this review. He is abandoning all my projects I have with them leaving my customers without corrections from the cities. My customers projects are all now on hold. I will be making a complaint with consumer affairs. I also have to spend more money and hire a second engineer. This is criminal. All because of my honest review of my experience with this company

McPherson engineering has always been great to us. They have helped us with over 100 jobs. Mostly solar doing all the permits and engineering and design for us. Ryan has always been conservative and explaining things to us when we are working in a new city. Always caught problems before they could happen so they never were a problem to begin with.
