Maya did a great job on our kitchen remodel. They demo'd and removed our existing countertops, backsplash, sink, lighting, and one wall of cabinetry (including built-in fridge and wall oven), while being careful not to damage any of the cabinetry and flooring we were keeping. They installed attractive new cabinets on one side of the kitchen, along with a new fridge and microwave; did the plumbing and electrical work, and painted the walls and ceiling. The tiling job they did was really exceptional. We had a brick pattern for most of it, but they managed to integrate the herringbone pattern we wanted behind the stove, and it turned out beautifully. Ofer, Stan, and the rest of the crew were really easy to work with, worked hard, and were flexible with our schedule. I'd work with Maya again in a second.

My husband and I hired Maya Construction earlier this year for a full kitchen, entryway and office remodel, and we couldn’t be happier with our decision! Udi and Ofer were fantastic to work with—they were organized, communicative, and provided thoughtful guidance throughout the entire process. From the beginning they were open and honest, taking the time to walk through different options and ensure we understood all the unknowns going in. Their transparency during the estimate process made us feel confident in their work and decisions.
What really stood out was their flexibility and willingness to collaborate. We faced a few unexpected challenges along the way, but they were always ready with creative solutions that allowed us to keep the project on track without compromising the overall design and vision. They also were willing to let us purchase our own materials, and offered to review our selections and provide helpful advice along the way.
Their crew was professional, courteous, and committed to high-quality craftsmanship. The foreman, Stan, was incredibly knowledgeable and came up with a configuration for our HVAC that eliminated the need for a soffit (which would’ve been the easiest solution but one I really didn’t want!). Another crew member, Wesley’s, installation of marble checkerboard tile in our foyer is flawless. The finished rooms are beautiful and the work exceeds our expectations!
We’re so pleased with the outcome that we’re ready to hire them again for a bathroom remodel. If you're looking for skilled, trustworthy contractors, I highly recommend Maya Construction!

We found Planet Cabinets / Maya Construction because of their great reviews, and we're so glad we did! From the first consultation through final screw on the wine fridge door, Roni and Udi and Ofer were an intelligent and flexible team who designed and built our absolute dream kitchen.

Roni is half of the husband-wife team at Planet Cabinets, and she does all design work to give you a crystal-clear sense of what you're ordering. She hands off to Udi who runs Maya Construction with his partner Ofer, and they price out any construction work you need on top of cabinet installation.

Our process was highly iterative because I'm very particular and wanted a lot of customization including unique cabinet sizes and Rev-A-Shelf inserts throughout. Once everything was perfect, the work started with some flooring and HVAC subcontractors from Udi's "rolodex" who did great work. Then came the Maya crew who were punctual, extremely conscientious about tidiness beyond the work area, friendly, and very capable.

If I won the lottery and could afford bespoke cabinetry in my new mansion on Burling Street, I'd still return to Planet Cabinets. The "semi-custom" manufacturer that Roni and Udi recommended is higher quality than two very expensive custom built-ins that I previously sourced for my family room and entryway. Drive past Home Depot and work with Planet Cabinets, it's a no regrets move!

We used Planet Cabinets and Maya Construction for a kitchen remodel and we added a wet bar/mini kitchen in a loft area off our rooftop deck. We had an amazing experience working with Ofer and his dedicated team on our kitchen remodel and loft kitchen. From start to finish it was an extremely pleasant and stress free experience. Ofer designed both kitchen spaces and offered design ideas that we would have never even thought of. His experience and design expertise really payed off when we ran into some unexpected issues as every project does. Communication was excellent and the final product was beyond our expectations and came in at the very reasonable budgeted amount. They handle everything from design, to cabinets and countertops, to the installation and finish work. They really pay attention to the details both large and small. I highly recommend Ofer and his team at Planet Cabinets and Maya Construction.

We could not be happier that we chose to work with Maya Construction to remodel our Beverly basement. As soon as I spoke to co-owner Udi over the phone, Maya went straight to the top of my list. I really appreciated his prompt response to my online inquiry and the fact that he was able to give me a general idea of the cost over the phone. When we had Maya come out to give us a quote, he spent nearly an hour talking to us about the work and our different options. While the final quote he provided was in the same range as the other quotes we received, Maya was going to do A LOT more work for the price, including all new windows, replacing an exterior door, replacing all of the old pipes, and adding more vents/electrical outlets/and lights than the other companies.

Throughout our project, working with Udi and his partner Ofer was a great experience. They were in routine contact with us and everything felt very transparent. They helped us figure out the design for the basement and offered lots of helpful suggestions that we wouldn’t have considered on our own.

Jack, the foreman, was incredibly knowledgeable and is a real asset to the company. Jack was particularly thoughtful when it came to installing the electrical outlets and configuration for the lights. He thought of things we never would have, but are now very glad to have.

Maya kept to both budget and schedule and when we did the final walk though, they implemented every change we identified, without any pushback. In fact, I recently reached out with a question about a wire, after the project was completed and they had received final payment, and Udi called me immediately to let me know that he would send Jack out to fix the issue the next morning.

From start to finish Maya, went above and beyond to make sure we were happy that we chose their company. Our basement turned out better than we could’ve imagined. The next time we need work done on the house, we will absolutely be choosing them again.
