I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience with your wonderful company and the outstanding team at Maverick Homes. As a real estate agent, I recently helped clients close on a new Maverick Homes build. The entire process was truly impressive. From our initial meeting with Mike, who showcased the home's features and construction quality, to Shawn's thorough new home orientation the day of closing, everything was exceptional! We are so happy with our Maverick Home!

As first time homeowners, we did extensive research and attended many house showings in Southern Wisconsin. We knew we were interested in a new build, but the excitement for that was quickly fading as we discovered that many new builds were poor quality, cheap-looking, and lacked character. Very cookie-cutter and blah. One day, we saw a listing for a home that Maverick Homes had built, and we were so impressed. Sadly, our realtor discovered the home already had an accepted offer. However, we were able to connect with the Maverick team and discuss some of their other properties still under construction.

We toured two of their homes before they hit the market - and WOW - this was the first time that my husband and I really felt excited for a new build! The homes were beautiful on the outside AND the inside! You could immediately tell that there was a lot of thought that went into the design; from layout to details, it was amazing. Nothing about it felt "cheap", unlike many new builds these days. My favorite part was that you could 100% tell that a woman's touch was incorporated into the homes; the color schemes, hardware, kitchen, storage spaces, etc. I was so impressed! I also appreciated that they included cabinetry hardware, mirrors, towel hooks, appliances, and other items that commonly are not included in new builds. I think the only things we had to purchase right away were a washer/dryer and window coverings - it was so nice!

After the tours, we were pretty much ready to pounce before the homes hit the market. However, we were interested in discussing what it might be like working with them to build our own home on a different lot. Shawn and Mike took the time to meet with us and discuss what that process would look like, from selecting land to building, all within our budget's parameters. Ultimately, we decided we wanted to be in a home sooner rather than later, so we decided to purchase one of their homes that was already built, but the construction process sounded very logical and seamless.

Before moving in, we had two separate walkthroughs with the Maverick team. One that focused on "blue tape"/polishing up any last imperfections, and one that focused on education about the home (think: new homeowner orientation). We were moving to Wisconsin from out of state, and the team was extremely flexible with our travel schedules to accommodate the walkthroughs. We appreciated that they went into detail in describing every system/purpose within the house, and even teaching us how to use things or know where certain things are located. This was extremely helpful as first time homeowners.

Once we moved into the home, the Maverick team contacted us multiple times to check in and ensure that everything was okay. You can really tell that they care - and it is so refreshing that they don't just drop off the face of the planet once you close. It's so personable! There are also 60-day and 11/12-month checkpoints that they schedule for any maintenance or improvements that need to be done. I like how this is scheduled, because it gives us the opportunity to live in our home and discover things as we go, addressing items as needed.

Overall, we are so happy with our decision to purchase this home. We have received so many compliments from family and friends, and feel that it is genuinely a well-built house. We are looking forward to turning it into our home and would recommend Maverick Homes to anyone.
