L&W's surveying services were recommended to me by a Virginia surveyor. They gave me two estimates, one at $2,200 for basic services and another one at $5,000 that included advanced services (producing a topo map, marking septic and well systems, marking structure corners, and marking property entrances). I asked for a cost breakdown of the advanced services and was told I was wasting their time and I needed to look else where for services. I can't speak for their services but I found communication throughout the whole process to be difficult and unprofessional towards the end. Inability to produce an itemized list of services is not what I would expect from surveyor with 50 years of experience.

They might be great surveyors, but they are terrible communicators. Called them in March about a survey of my property. They said they would be available in September. Called in early August, and they said they would call me at the end of the month. I called back in early September, and the guy I talked to said, "We're still backed up three or four months." Thank you for wasting six months of my time.
