Ordered clearanced paneling that looked beautiful but ended up being junk. I was assured quality was not an issue, that the product was just not in use anymore since Covid. I complained when I realized almost 40% of the wood was junk. I was told to expect 10-15% loss. I was told that in the field they will cut them down but the entire point of ordering the longer boards was to be seamless. Even so, the boards are covered in black, ink looking substance, broken tongues, grooves, saw marks, cracks, etc. Even with cutting the boards down there’s at least a 35% loss and I believe it’s closer to 40+%. The boards that I discard are so bad that I haven’t even been able to sell them, I’ve had to give them away or throw them in dumpster. The stain/finish isn’t applied evenly. The further I get in to my job, the more I absolutely regret buying from this company. The only reason they get 2 stars is because their customer service is responsive. The quality is so bad that I’m considering getting a lawyer involved. I was hoping they would stand by their product and refund me part of my purchase price but instead they sent me a can of stain, which I appreciate, but it’s not enough. Absolutely would not do business with them again. Do not purchase the clearanced “Springbrook” unless you’re in a position to be able to personally inspect every piece first.
