My husband and I purchased a home that ended up needing to be gutted. James was extremely knowledgeable and provided us with excellent advice and performed highly skilled carpentry such as installing kitchen cabinets, interior doors and floor repair to name a few. He connected us with highly reputable local contractors and provided general over site, communicating with us every step of the way. He had great ideas that helped us make good design decisions structurally and visually. We highly recommend him for any project you might need done on a house. James worked with me to make some changes to my kitchen, including some cabinet alterations involving custom doors stained to match existing cabinetry, changes to shelving, work to install a microwave over the range including adding venting, making accompanying roof modifications, and more. Throughout the project James was professional, thoughtful, and helpful. The end result exceeded all of my expectations in terms of the workmanship and the quality of the end product. Prices were fair and reasonable. As a result of his excellent work in my kitchen I later retained him to make some changes to my fireplace, and now am already making plans with James to do an overhaul of my bathroom. I highly recommend him for large and small projects, and will be happy to work with him again.
