I accidentally parked in what I thought was a shared parking lot at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac at their Goleta location trying to go to check out storage unit for the first time next door. A bald white man on an adult tricycle came aggressively after me and shouted that this was private property. I apologized, immediately walked back to move it, and he continued shouting, verbally berating and harassing me until I got into my car, repeatedly screaming at me โ€œDID YOU NOT SEE THE SIGN!?!โ€.

There was a sign on their gate that said โ€œNO TRESPASSING PRIVATE PROPERTYโ€, but the parking lot was not behind this gate. There was a generic Smittyโ€™s towing sign that did not specify that only Lash customers could park there. There were around 10 parking spots and 8 were empty. This is completely unacceptable treatment of community members and I felt threatened and unsafe. I often see Lash construction cones at civic construction projects around town; are there no other contractors we can use for city projects who know how to actually be community members?

On September 12th Lash Construction repaved the road outside of Goleta Cottage Hospital. Within seconds of me driving through the active site, a nail was lodged into the side of tire causing it to go flat. I drive this road 4-5 times a day to get to and from home and work and have never had any issues or noticed any debris on the road. The one day the were doing work, a nail ends up in my tire.

After speaking with the company, they flat out refused to even acknowledge that there was a possibility that this nail came from their site. I don't believe it is a coincidence that an active construction site and a nail ending up in my tire is just a freak stroke of bad luck. They claimed to have street swept the site the day before but the woman on the phone did not know what to say when I asked if there was a possibility the street sweeper missed the object that ended up in my tire. It is clear by circumstantial evidence that they missed something when cleaning up, yet now I have to pay for their mistakes.

As a small business owner myself, their lack of customer service and negligence appalls me. If anybody is looking to contract out this company for their construction needs, be warned. They don't care if they damage other peoples property and will inevitably make your company look bad.

I waited until the next day to see if they would clean up their garbage even left a message on their office phone but I come back to work and see that the garbage is still there yesterday the 25th of July I was out on the corner of Olive and Haley and A Lash construction truck crossed the intersection a bag of garbage fell open and poured out onto the street corner the worker slow the vehicle down looked back laughed and then proceeded to accelerate quickly out of the area the garbage is still there today and it just shows you what kind of quality people they have working for them I guess and a homeless guy took the blame due to the nature of the garbage being a lot of beer related trash from some shop owners near by, its still there if u guys wanna send someone out and fix this.
