Great experience start to finish! The crew was at my home every day from demolition of my old deck to completion of the new deck. I was really impressed by the skill level of the team and their attention to detail. There was far more customization than I expected and the results were fabulous. I could not be happier with the completed deck and can’t wait for the warm weather to enjoy it. Even the building inspector commented what a beautiful deck it was. Lakeside Deck Builders rebuilt the floor of our front porch. They used PVC that looks like wood so it will last forever. They also worked around our holiday lighting, so we didn’t have to take it all down.
They also rebuilt our back deck using the same stuff. The new design will give us so much more room and will not rot like the old wood.
Jason and Josh from Lakeside were great to work with. We would recommend them to anyone!

We hired Lakeside Deck Builders to do two projects: replace our back deck and put a new floor on the front porch of our 126 year old house. First we met with Jason and he showed us samples, explained the differences between the products and provided us with a quote. Once we approved the quote, he came back with a contract and we gave him a 50% down payment for the entire project. Jason told us it would be a couple of months before they would be able to begin.
When work began, we were introduced to Josh, who did all the demolition and building. Josh completely demolished the old deck (the multi-level deck in the pictures) and built the new, single-level deck. During the process, Josh pointed out that an electrical pipe for our solar system that runs under the deck had come unscrewed. I called around to see if I could get someone out to fix it to no avail. Josh helped me realign the pipe and screw it together, saving me a ton of money. The deck turned out perfectly.
The second project was more complex because it involved lifting each of the six columns on the front of the house to remove the old wood flooring and install the new PVC planks. (The pic looking across the street from our porch shows how they jacked up each column.) It was a ton of work, but Josh consulted with us all along the way to: get our preferences, point out other things that may need our attention and just to ensure we were satisfied all along the way. The new PVC flooring is wood colored. The light blue flooring is the old stuff. This project also turned out perfectly…even better than we imagined.
One of the issues that came up was that the posts at the bottom of the front stairs were starting to get soft (these were replaced by another contractor two years ago). Jason and Josh were able to accommodate our request to add the rebuild of these items to our project and complete them right away.
Jason and Josh were both a pleasure to work with and I would recommend them very highly to anyone. Now we can’t wait to enjoy our renewed outdoor areas!

Our initial appointment , design and quote were beyond what was expected. Jason brought material samples, walked the deck area with us listened to our needs, offered recommendations. I had confidence in him. That’s always a factor for me. I have to feel right about the owner of the company. Here’s the surprise; he sat at our dining room table with his tablet and worked up a detailed quote on the spot. Who does that anymore? We are part of an HOA and they approved the design right away. Jason said we’d have use of the deck by spring and it was installed within a 2 week timeframe in February. We can’t wait to fill our flower boxes! Be sure to have Lakeside quote your deck project!

Huge thanks to Jason and his team for our new deck! We called Jason when we noticed our 1967 deck was sagging. He came out very quickly and was able to help us remove the deck within a week, and make a two phase plan to replace the upper deck this year, and make a three seasons, lower deck in the future. we work with many contractors with our home, the homes we build, and as a realtor.
