Thanks to Dale and his team our drainage/flooding issues are over. Our back room is built up against a hill and every time it rained longer than 2 days in a row water would just start collecting in that room. We’d have to move all the rugs and furniture out of there and it was a total nightmare.

LA Structural finished our drainage and waterproofing job right before the record-breaking rains that fell over LA winter 2024 and our back room stayed dry the entire time.

LA Structural fixed our water leak! They were not the cheapest bid we got but their warranty for as long as we owned the home sealed the deal for us. Our guest house is partially underground and while it was not cheap to get it fixed, the quality of work was excellent. All our questions were addressed professionally and the all issues that occurred was promptly resolved. In one case, it was not really LA Structural's fault but they took care of it as part of the job no questions asked.

LA Structural did an earthquake retrofit and other upgrades to the foundation of my house that was built in the 1930s and was not up to current codes. Making the updates has given me some added peace of mind that my house will be in good, safe condition well into the future.

I was pleased with the process from start to finish. The assessment of the work that was needed was done quickly and explained to me in terms I could understand. They were careful to answer all my questions. After getting duped by another foundation company, I sought out my local Neighbor 2 Neighbor to find a fully vetted business that I could trust. From the very first conversation I had with Dale, I knew that LA Structural was the one. From start to finish, LA Structural exceeded my expectations. To begin with, Branden, a highly knowledgeable and experienced engineer, did a comprehensive inspection and took tons of photos. He took his time explaining the subpar work that was done 6 years ago, how it impacted my foundation (turning 2 girders), and the options I had for truly securing my home. Branden even offered advice on the best way to protect my hillside foundation when constructing the future backyard patio. I received a very detailed estimate and summary for the scope of work. The hard-working crew were beyond professional in every way. In addition to adding posts, piers, sister girders, and doing seismic retrofit bolting, they cemented a hole where rodents were getting in (for free!). Upon completion, Branden did another inspection and took more photos so that I could see for myself, without crawling under the house, that everything that was promised was delivered, and then some! There is nothing more important than peace of mind, especially when it comes to your foundation. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend LA Structural!

When our initial plan to replace a hillside retaining wall proved to be out of budget, they devised a creative, alternate strategy to achieve a comparable effect: regrading the soil behind the wall and repairing the brickwork. Throughout the project, Jim was in frequent communication and I felt that I understood what was happening every step of the way. The crew was friendly and kept the work area very tidy. The job was finished right on time, possibly a day or two early. The price was only slightly higher than the other estimates we got but their expertise and professionalism were unmatched. Dale Terndrup and the team at LA Structural solved a tricky basement water intrusion for me. After unprecedented rain in early 2023 my 100 year old, semi-finished basement started leaking a modest amount of water. After a first inspection of the condition, Dale suggested that I might want to wait a season to do anything as the rain we've had was so unusual. Given the expense of any possible repair, I really appreciated that he wasn't giving me a hard-sell. When the "hurricane" came through LA in the early fall it once again brought some water into the basement and I decided to have LA Structural install french drains and a new sump pump to end the situation once and for all. They did a perfect job, finishing on time and budget while going above and beyond on all the little details and finishes. So far not a drop of water in the basement after the latest "atmospheric river" swept through LA this winter. Can't recommend them highly enough.
