Exceptional Craftsmanship and Expertise - Highly Recommend LA Decks

These guys more than deserve my 5 stars review. From the beginning they delivered what the had promised- wish all contractors were like this. The entire on-site work took 3 weeks from removal for the old concrete until the installation of the new deck. We liked their design and quality of work- highly recommended!

We interviewed 4 different deck building companies when we decided to replace our 720 square foot deck in West Hollywood. Naama from LA Decks was the most prepared and professional of everyone. She supplied their contractor's license, references, and samples of all the deck materials we were interested in using. She dropped off additional samples and answered all of our questions quickly and clearly. LA Decks also offered the best price over their competitors by a substantial amount.

The construction team was totally professional, arriving exactly as promised and completing the job ahead of schedule. They were attentive to our needs and even did some extra repairs to the walls and trim on our house. Victor regularly checked on the crews progress and made sure everything was completed to our satisfaction.

We love our new deck and are very happy with our choice of TimberTech/ Azek's Vintage Collection in Coastline. The color is a perfect complement to our house and the composite's easy care and lack of any required maintaince is great!

We highly recommend LA Decks if you need a new deck built.

I hired LA Decks 4 years ago to install a deck for me. The experience and quality was top notch so I recommended them to my neighbor and relatives who both hired them. I worked with Ron at the time.

Recently, I called LA Decks for a quote to re-install deck planks I had to remove for an electrical line upgrade. The only work required was to re-install the existing Azek planks with new screws. Tal, from LA Decks, showed up to give me a quote. His quote to re-install the 400 sf of the planks was.....$13,000 !!

I was obviously shocked and gave Tal a call to discuss, he said the cost is what they typically charge for labor. The next day, Tal texted me to expain the reason for the cost and said "The cost of the screws alone are around $4k." I promptly responded telling him I found the screws online for $450. He then said "My bad..labor and screws for screwing the deck in." I said that was all I needed done.

I ended up hiring a different company for $3,500 and they did a great job. This company used to be great, but have gone down hill. I would not recommended, and if you do get a bid, I highly recommended getting another bid as they are trying to rip you off. AVOID.

It looks like they are now making things up in their response. I have included pictures of the quote, where all that was being asked was to adjust an opening in my deck 6 inches (not feet), which had no impact on the underlying structure.
