Amboy and his team at Korling Construction did a fantastic job with our recently purchased home.

They patched and painted the interior (the walls and doors were damaged from prior owners), replaced a pedestal sink with a new vanity (including plumbing and lights), added an electrical socket for our TV, and not only kept us updated throughout the process, but also managed to finish early despite our very tight schedule.

They have great attention to detail and use quality parts/materials which really show in the results. We're very happy with the experience and highly recommend them.

First time working with Korling and my experience was highly positive. I needed help installing proper beam support in an old house, including a new concrete footing. Amboy responded very quickly to contact through Yelp, came straight over to look at the work and proposed a solution.

This company has the secret sauce for the modern era! They arrive on time, they meticulously clean up – and most important -- they offer top-notch work using state-of-the-art materials. Amboy Korling, our neighbor, rebuilt and re-tiled our upstairs shower with the best shower pan on the market. After we chose our preferred tiles, he added a nice seat to the shower – an extra touch we appreciate as we get older. Next, Amboy replaced our blocky wallboard staircase with a beautiful spindle model that features an integrated handrail. Most recently, he revitalized and re-pitched our sagging outdoor balcony for proper drainage with a flawless Tufflex surface. Amboy was my contractor on a staircase build and the permitting process through the City of Carpinteria. He was excellent through the whole process and got the job done. He is straight to the point, where some contractors overpromise and underdeliver- Amboy makes sure to communicate through the whole job and overdelivers. The staircase came out excellent. he has the right contacts and was very quick to get the job done, once we had the permits. He is also responsive after the job is done and has helped me with various projects since the staircase remodel. 10/10 recommend Amboy!

Sadly, due to its brick construction on a brick foundation, no further retrofitting can be done beyond the existing reinforcements. Still, I wanted to recommend him wholeheartedly.
