They were very neat and professional and dealt with all of our questions and requests. we really appreciated that John Kirch (the owner of the business) as very involved in the installation process and not just a salesman. John Kirch was responsive & informative when we met with him to go over our deck requirements. His experience with deck replacements was clearly evident. When he & his crew arrived to begin the project, they were friendly and willing to answer all of our questions. The work was done efficiently & professionally, and they were very tolerant of our frequent inspections & picture taking. The finished deck is gorgeous, and all we expected it to be…there were no changes from our original plans and, more importantly, there were no surprises or unexpected developments along the way. John and his team were very responsive to our initial inquiry and came out and gave a very thorough estimate and realistic timeline and helped us work through getting the permit with the Village which was super helpful. When it came time for the job itself the plan came together beautifully with great quality and craftsmanship. They also made some minor changes at the end above and beyond the scope of the job which made the aesthetic even better than we originally expected. Can’t say enough how professional John and Jaclyn were to work with and would absolutely recommend them for anyone in the area to work with.

We are so glad we went with Kirch. Had 5 different companies come in to quote on the tear-down of our existing, very large, elevated wood deck and replace it with a somewhat larger, elevated, composite deck. We narrowed it down to Kirch and one other builder we liked, but went with Kirch because they could meet our timeline (which the other vendor said they would not be able to meet and didn’t think anyone could). Well, they didn’t just meet our timeline, they beat it by 2 weeks. We had a run of good weather and they got after it. No let up once they started. Very organized. Start early and work hard all day. Communicative throughout entire process. Jaclyn responds to emails immediately. John talks you through everything and follows through on what he says. And the results are fantastic! We love our new deck. Exactly what we wanted and expected. We practically live on our deck May through September, and with this new deck it’s an even better place to hangout and relax with family and friends. So happy with it. Worth every penny. This review is looooong over due. Kirch finished our deck May 2021 or so..... but we have been having too much fun enjoying it and I kept forgetting to write a review. So, sorry about that Jaclyn & John!

In a nutshell, Jaclyn & John were amazing to work with and insanely knowledgeable. We spoke with 4 builders and kirchs knowledge about their work was definately reassuring and worth the small premium over some of the other builders who seemed wishy washy and not very confidence instilling OR the other builders who were promising things we knew couldn't be done. Kirch was fast, efficient and did top notch work. They said the deck would be done in about 1 week once work began (my husband and I joked about that thinking yeah suuuuuure!) but..... it was about 95% done in 1 week!!! It would would have been 100% done but, plans had to change slightly near the end so the final touches went on a week or two later after the extra parts arrived. No fault of Kirch, just some mis-calculatuons on our own end.

That said...... my husband and I wanted to get the plans approved by the city on our own so we knew exactly what we could/couldn't do direct from the city so we could build exactly what we wanted.... Kirch offered to do it for us but apparently we like being abused so did it ourselves. The city was a bit of a sh*t show telling us one thing, then correcting themselves after we had Kirch change the deck plans requiring them to be changed again and again..... the city didnt seem to know their own building code, go figure. None the less Kirch was there to help make adjustments quickly and without any grumbling and we got it approved.

During the building process there were a few minor problems that arose, again no fault of Kirch, but as soon as they were aware of them they let us know right away and had solutions ready to present to us, making the problems feel like..... well, not really a problem at all.

Once it was finally completed there were a few minor touch ups we asked Kirch to take care of. Jaclyn said John would be out in a week or so to do them but it was within just a day or two he came and went without us even knowing and had them done.

I would never hesitate to recommend Kirch and their crew for any deck project. They made everything so easy and were the epitome of amazing customer service.
