Built our home with Kaerek in 2020. Would never recommend them. Took over 3 years to fix our front door that was damaged while building. Painter contractor that they hired "ghosted" them. They told me over the years that I had to wait until they got contacted by the painter. They also said I could not hire a painter and have them pay the bill, and they would not hire a different painter. I filed a legal matter against them in Nov. 2023, they finally hired a new painter to fix it in spring of 2024 as an agreement to not file litigation.

The experience with Kaerek on the front end was pleasant. People are helpful and knowledgeable in the planning. That is where it ends sadly. Warranty issues, half a** fixes, and Kaerek trying to say certain things are done certain ways when they really aren’t. They fail to realize that people that build with them either have or work in the home building business and have knowledge of these things. We specifically had issues with roof boards curling at the joints which make for a unpleasant sight. They came out and did patch fixes as they would not replace the full section of the roof that has these issues. Pictures of the roof after the fix are attached which you can clearly see the issue still. Numerous issues with cabinets which have lead to the sub par fixes which you see in the pictures attached. Replacement cabinet parts with chips and rough edges. End skirts of cabinets glued and nailed when they were originally just glued. Told that is standard for them. If it is, they could take a little more pride in making it look better and also check parts before bringing them to the job site and replacing them. Overall attention to detail is lacking. As a previous review stated, steer clear of Mark Scheel as a project manager. Nothing but issues when working with him, especially on the roof issues. They are more worried about quantity of houses built over quality.

I have lived in my house for 4 years, had to replace all the carpet, every window in the house leaks and needs to be replaced, had to replace the roof already, drywall cracking everywhere, during the building phase they installed a cracked bath tub and they wanted to patch it, worst of all zero customer support. They just want the money and as soon as you sign they could care less about the quality of the home or the customer, it’s your problem is their response. My recommendation, find a different builder.

We chose Kaerek Homes to build our home in 2022-2023. We signed the contract in February 2022, and from then until May 2022, we worked closely with the the designer on the house's design, going back and forth several times. Kaerek Homes offers many models, and some of them are truly impressive. We visited the their Design Center a couple of times to select materials from a wide range of options.

Foundation was dug in May 2022, and the entire house was completed in March 2023, right on schedule. Communication with Jordan Kaerek was excellent throughout the construction process, as well as after closing. He promptly addressed our many concerns. The project manager’s communication was not that efficient, which was understandable given that he was managing 35 construction projects simultaneously.

We have now lived in our new home for over a year without encountering any quality issues. Overall, our experience with Kaerek Homes was great.

We have been in our Kaerek home for 1.5 years. This was the third home we have built so we understood what to expect and how to manage timelines and quality checks throughout the building phases. We worked with Mark and Pam who were excellent listening to our questions and providing information throughout the process. All of the items on our warranty checklist were addressed. Some of those items took longer than expected due to staff changes, but eventually the items were completed.

We have been one of Kaerek Homes plumbing subcontractors for roughly six years. Our residential new construction department completes around 250 new homes a year with serval different builders. We love working with Kaerek Homes, they are wonderful with scheduling so each of the trades have ample time to complete their scope of work. Kaerek is extremely focused on the end users’ needs and makes sure that their expectations are met. If any issues arise during construction, they are great to work with to get the issues resolved and keep the project moving forward.

We built a house and less than a year in we needed multiple fixes. We got different answers as to why things weren't getting fixed. They drag their feet in getting contractors in and then blame us for not following through when we had no notice of phone calls or emails. Grout in my shower has chipped and broke off, grout on my kitchen tiles connected to my counter has separated and crumbled off, multiple ill placed screens on my windows or no screens at all. I can't even open my windows in spring or summer because bugs come in through the cracks. The fix on my kitchen counters was to bring someone in for the "fix" and they used clear caulk to fix seal the gaps. We could have done that, I wanted it regrouted. The corners of walls are minimally hit and the plaster and paints comes off in chunks. They were the more affordable build but it's been a headache and I am unhappy with my custom build. Contract better contractors please!

Not sure where the negative reviews come from. We have been a contractor with them for years. I have never walked into a customers home with them there and heard any negative comments. The expeditors, down to their cleanup crews are top notch. Very customer service oriented, you dont build this many houses without maintaining a very high quality product.
