I was really lucky to find JG Wood Floors on my search for a floor contractor on the internet. I needed new flooring in our kitchen due to water damage. Jay gave me a new home. Seriously. He put bamboo floors in my 1300 sq ft octagon removing the 23 year old cheap carpeting. It has been said in other reviews - but I will repeat: his attention to detail is amazing (and I'm picky), his communication is great - I always had a heads up on what was going on and he is just a nice guy (truly nice). Gave him the key to my house with no reservations and did not regret it. My whole house is finished - but if I ever need to put hardwood floors in any other place - I will wait to get on Jay's calendar. I had no idea what I was doing, but thankfully Jay did and he made sure everything, every detail was right. Hire him. You will be very happy you did.

Jay installed a hardwood floor on the stairs and second floor of our house. He was able to match the flooring that we already had on the floor and made the flooring look seamless throughout the house.
He's a true craftsman and takes great pride in his work; this was evident from his attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. I'm still in awe of how good the stairs look... those were a lot of complex cuts!
He was punctual and communicative throughout the job and was always considerate that we were living in the house while he was working; the work areas were always cleaned up after the day's work and his tools and materials stored safely (we have young kids so this was important to us).
I'd have no hesitation about recommending him for any flooring work and will work with him again for the next flooring job we have.

The entry way at my house desperately needed to be covered due to water damage, but my budget was almost non existant. I called Jay and he said he had some flooring that might work. He was right. I liked the sample. The entire project only took a few hours and looks way better than expected. I'd say try Jay if you need a floor, you will be happy.
