My wife and I were fortunate enough to meet Jim at Home Depot one morning. We were looking at pocket doors, talking with a salesperson, and Jim happened to overhear our conversation. Afterwards he introduced himself and gave us his card, and recommended a friend who might be able to install the doors for us. A few months later, we were about to start a big kitchen remodel. When our original contractor pulled out at the last minute we decided to give "that friendly guy we met at Home Depot" a call. We didn't know at the time that this would be the start of a truly nice friendship not only with Jim, but his entire crew--and the first of several projects with James P. Silva Construction.

Jim and his team are absolute professionals and true craftsmen. The work they do is nothing short of stunning! The thought and care that they put into every aspect of the job clearly shows. They are meticulous about every little detail, from where to place an outlet to what color to paint the trim. And they involve the client every step of the way, they want you to be 100% satisfied with the end result. It's clear that this is more than just a job to them, it's an art that they love and have perfected over decades of experience.

Recently Jim put up some shelves in our kitchen. These shelves needed to be able to hold close to 100 lbs. of cast iron cookware, and the brackets we had bought were not going to provide enough support.
