Nate, Martin, Eli & Effi at ITS Remodeling and Construction were the most incompetent, unorganized, unprofessional and irresponsible group of people I’ve ever worked with. Our project timing was overly stated as "2-3 weeks easy," yet the remodel finished more than 2 months after the proposed completion date, cost us nearly double the proposed cost, included multiple lapses in communication and changes throughout the project workflow, and was left incomplete.

After assuring us "they doubt there is mold" mold was discovered. Considering they weren't sure how much mold there was, we agreed that we’d take the approach of first, seeing how much mold there is to remediate and then, only pay for the % of wood that needed to be replaced. Since we were home watching the project in its entirety, we were not only aware of what exactly was removed but we also confirmed with the day to day person working on our project that no joists were removed and only 20% of the walls removed.

Despite that, they still had the audacity to charge us the full amount. We asked Eli and Martin to show us proof so we can pay for what was actually complete to which no proof was ever provided. Then, in the most ill-mannered way, they wanted to negotiate on a % they felt was fair. The tone and approach from Martin during this conversation was very uncomfortable and unprofessional.

During that meeting where we learned about the mold remediation, we specifically asked Martin if there were any other additional costs we can expect from things like plumbing (we were already paying for plumbing upgrades), lighting (we were only placing two canned lights), electrical, etc. Martin said "absolutely not."

They then told us we needed to "replace our gas line and upgrade our circuit box to pass inspection." Worried we wouldn't pass inspection, we agreed to do the gas line repair and suggested that electrical was not needed since we were only placing two canned lights in the bathroom. Martin & Nate continued to push us on the electrical upgrade, and when we asked for clarification on whether this was truly necessary, Martin said he would ask Eli and get back to us, but never did.

After speaking to our gas company, we learned Martin charged us more than double for the work ITS performed. When we asked Martin for an explanation, he not only did not respond, but that was literally the last we heard from Martin and we consider this behavior not only manipulative but illegal.

Communication was terrible to say the least from our project manager Nate. Though we asked multiple times, we never received a basic project schedule from Nate with timing and deliverables, and we were forced to follow up every time to ask where we were with our project schedule. On several occasions, there were consecutive days of complete silence from him even though we asked about important project updates. There were several days where there was complete no- shows to our home with no communication from Nate or the project team. That is unacceptable, rude, and dismissive of our busy schedules. Nate even stated to us, "I don’t circle back on every minor detail with all clients."

After an initial decision on a design that included a large storage cabinet and a wall mounted dual vanity set, we did not receive the wall mounted vanity, which Nate kept referring to as a "happy accident." He then tried to charge us for the vanity and the plumbing upgrades which we successfully disputed because these costs were already included in the contract price.

After 6 project delays and unfinished work, Nate, Martin, Eli & Effi on multiple occasions continued to be unaware of project details and what else needed to be done.

Our final interaction with ITS was on June 20 and we have no doorknob on the bathroom door, incorrect showerhead, incorrect door handle, incorrect storage cabinet, misplaced towel rack, incorrect mirror, incorrect window shades and trash from the work remains on our property.

We had our floor redone by ITS to switch from carpet to luxury vinyl. The salesman who came to give us an estimate provided a quote that is way lower than other quotes we have gotten and insisted that the price included everything and we wouldn’t be paying more than the quote. We signed the contract with him. Then when we called to set a date, we were told that the quote was wrong and the actual estimate would be MORE THAN 3 TIMES what they initially quoted. Eventually after some negotiation they agreed to match another quote we have gotten, but now we felt like they quoted low in order to get our business.
During the meeting with the salesman, he also said that they had a promotion for a free iPad when we sign the contract. We never got the iPad.
We were told the remodeling should take 1 day, but toward the end of the first day you can tell there is no way they were going to finish. It took another ½ day. Then we found some issues with dents and scratches that occurred when they moved the furniture back, so we contacted them to complain. They did come back and replace all the floor boards that had imperfections in them, but the workers had really bad attitudes and kept blaming us for the dents and scratches the whole time.

THIS COMPANY WILL ROB YOU OF YOUR MONEY. See the breakdown of cost below.

My wife already posted a comprehensive review so I won't go into full detail, but I want to warn anyone using ITS to document and research the cost of everything they are doing.

After we paid ITS over 50% for the job, Martin, his boss and Nathan came to our house stating that we need to replace the pipes on the gas meter and circuit box to pass inspection. With their pressure tactics, I caved to upgrading the gas line (which was never inspected) only.

During the meeting they stated both valves will be replaced, and new concrete will be added at the base of the gas meter. The total estimated cost was $5,200, but they would provide us a 10% discount to make it $4,680. I should have made them write down every single item they were going to update since less than half was completed.

On the day of the job, 1 worker came to the house to replace the pipes. At first glance he told me that replacing the pipe from the gas meter to the ground was illegal and he would not be doing it. After getting the parts from Home Depot, he finished the same day.

After the gas line job was done, I started thinking of the cost and how they never laid the concrete. Here are my calculations of the cost (as with everything, no backup was provided when we requested/discussed):

Shutoff valve & bracket: $170
Labor (8 hrs x $100/hr): $800
ITS Commission (1-day job): $1,000
Total Job estimation: $1,970
Total Charged Invoice: $4,680
Difference: $2,710

When Martin had the audacity to tell me "I'm not here to screw anyone over", I texted him the cost breakdown of the gas line project to understand what we paid for, and never heard from him again. Martin was beyond unprofessional and manipulative during the entirety of our project.

Not impressed. Came out and gave me a quote on some plaster work I wanted done. Basically they didn't want to do some interior plaster work to instead replace it with drywall, which isn't what I want. Tried to preach to me that's the "right" way to do it.

It's wrong. The plaster on these walls has what's essentially a concrete underlayer. It's strong, more water resistant, has slightly better insulating value, and is what I want as the client.

They bid $4500 to replace 2 walls with drywall. These guys are crooks. That's maybe $300 in materials and 2 days max or labor for 2 or 3 people. Gtfo

What started as a positive project quickly devolved into a NIGHTMARE. We contracted ITS to do our front lawn and driveway with an eye for doing the backyard as well. They promised that they could do what we asked for, a cottage-look front yard with a small patio and a perimeter fence-topped block wall and raised planter next to the driveway with walls on each side of the S-curved walkway leading to the door. The yard was to be mostly leveled and raised at the sidewalk side where it would be contained by the block wall. A gate was to be cut into the stucco wall between our house and our neighbor's house and a walkway made to that gate.

Within minutes of my first meeting, I called out a potential problem that I wanted them to look into, an electrical access box on a city easement on our property near the sidewalk and along the property line with our next-door neighbor.

Apparently, they had not communicated the concept to the 3d designer because the "plans" he had made paved over the majority of the front lawn and of what remained, he had set astro-turf. The drawing included lighting (which we had discussed) on the block wall posts and up-lighting for the tree to be planted. We immediately complained that that was not what we wanted, that we wanted a cottage garden with edibles and fragrant, drought-tolerant plants, that we wanted what we discussed as above. We were assured that the changes would be made to the plan and that pictures would be made available to go over with our neighbor before any work was begun.

Over a week later, we still had nothing to show our neighbor, we repeatedly requested that the drawings and plans be given to us to review before the work would begin. They began the work anyway. The workers removed pavers that our neighbor had along the property line. As it was, David, of ITS aggravated our neighbor when she confronted him about what was being done to her property. Code enforcement came by and told us that the wall they were building was too high, they had NOT checked the legality or requirements surrounding the electrical access, NO PERMIT had been filed for the side gate yet they had already begun cutting into the wall. The rubbish bin they had delivered to the street in front of our house was not permitted. Apparently checking the legality of construction before beginning is NOT in their repertoire.

Luckily, a city electrical worker happened by and informed us that raising the box to accommodate the soon-to-be raised ground level would not be plausible, nor would the wall along that side of the yard, rendering the whole wall undo-able. But they had not built any of the walls to be retaining wall as required by code anyway, so the entire lay of the yard had to be changed. We could, of course, change it AT ADDITIONAL EXPENSE.

The company promised to have the dumpster removed before Monday (this was on a Friday), but the dumpster remained in front of the house until the FOLLOWING Friday.

ITS promised to amend the contract to reflect the changes and unused material but never did.

I became curious as to why they were adding the flagstone facade before putting in the wiring for the lighting, so I asked the ITS project manager and he says that neither the lighting or gate was in the contract, so would be AT ADDITIONAL EXPENSE.

They began laying the pavers, designed to look like flagstone with a pseudo-random pattern. The pseudo-random pattern was ignored, so the repetition of patterns was extremely obvious. They claimed it couldn't be changed. I had to physically walk them through rotating the pavers into different patterns. Once those were all arranged (though not in the S-pattern asked for, turns out that is "impossible" with these pavers, a fact not pointed out.)

So now with 3 out of 5 walls not done, no raised planter, no lights, no gate, and no pavers in the driveway, they are threatening to put a lien on my house for their work "completed" and are now claiming that NONE of these things were what was agreed on. They lied. They deceived. They swindled. There's more, not enough room.

This is a fake company who is charging my grandparents triple Times the amount of a building 10x10 foot add on (walls were deteriorated) with aluminum walls and saying it’s 40,000 $. with that and a paint job on the house. They are an absolute joke and I am excited to go to court and argue with them how they are absolute fraud and even tried to make my elderly old grandparents use their “GREEN SKY” loan company which was also through them with a 10% interest rate. They are a JOKE. Looking forward to court ! Each and every one of their workers, especially Nate and his other buddy, are AWFUL. Do NOT EVER USE THESE PEOPLE FOR YOUR HOUSEHOLD ANYTHING.
Abusing elderly and stealing all of their money? PATHETIC. You are FOUND OUT ITS company, YOU ARE FRAUD.

Just a money grab. No communication unless owner is begging for money. Paid upfront and still wants more while claiming to have to pay workers and threatening liens. Total misrepresentation of capabilities. Would not recommend!
